We already had a thread for English football, so I copy and pasted what you wrote over to the thread.

This can remain for Scottish Football.

Scottish Championship should be brutal this year with Rangers, Hibs, and Hearts all playing together. First time there has ever been a top flight season without a club from Edinburgh.

No offense, but it's the unofficial D-league of the Premier league. You would be better served talking about the Scottish players in England, whether Fletcher can ever remain healthy, and whether guys like McEachran will ever suit up for the blue and white.

Scottish football is most certainly in a lull right now. The national side is poorer than it should ever be allowed to be, and they struggle to put a full strength squad out for various reasons (and have done since about 1998). It's a shame to see Rangers relegated, and struggling in the cup competitions. However, I'd watch the domestic league before I made judgment on it. These are teams with proud history, and fervent support bases. In many ways it's a throwback to a bygone era of "proper" football.

87.7% of players come from England, NI, Wales, ROI, and Scotland.
Referees are very lenient and make the game strong and physical.
There's next to no diving.
Great rivalries (Hibs-Hearts, Dundee-Dundee United, etc.)

Sure, there's no Gazza or Henrik Larsson like their used to be. But it's a fun league with a lot of soul.

Anyone care to give their take about Ryan Gauld.

He just signed for Sporting, my club.

Not too sure about Ryan Gauld. Supposed to be a quick, creative player. Took on a decent amount of responsibility this season and played in the Cup Final. Hope he does well.

Celtic beat Reykjavik 1-0 in a Champions League Qualifier yesterday. Could have been about 20-0, but it was one of those bizarre matches against teams of such inferior opposition. I wonder if they can make a run at the group stages. It's imperative for Scottish Football that they do.
