I want to see a team from Ukraine (probably Kiev, Dnipro doesn't look that strong) play Zenit in the final. Won't happen, though.
Probably Warsaw would turns into a warzone, too, then. :wavefinger:

Brugge lucked out. I assume they'll beat Dnipro and become the team to draw in the semis.

I'm really looking forward to these matches though. I have a hard time predicting who will win Sevilla-Zenit. Probably Sevilla.
And I'll bet on the Italian teams to win their ties.

AVB got unlucky. Wolfsburg will easily beat Napoli. Brugge should win with ease as well.

No. Brugge beat the favourite Besiktas. They have to be considered the best team in the competition from here on out.

Easily? Napoli are in great form and if there's one thing rafa can do is get a result in Europe. Think that the winner of that tie will win it all.

But I'm sure you know best considering your Dortmund prediction ;)

Dortmund prediction was pure reverse jinxing that didn't work in the end. Go back further in this thread and you'll see me hating on Dortmund like everyone else.

And I'm not into this German/Italian debate, I just think Wolfsburg will win. We'll see. Easily was perhaps going to far I'll admit that.

Although Mottas goal was sick.

Well, we gave Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool a run for their money but were completely outclassed by Brugge. I'm not even angry, fair play to them.

I don't think they can stop each other. Should be fun, better than any match up in Europe this quarters.

UEFA wrote: “A federation that has, for instance, four slots in the Champions League can raise that to five slots if one of their clubs won the Europa League in the previous season.

“If such a club is already qualified for the Champions League thanks to the championship, then the federation remains with four slots.

“But if this team's performance in the championship only qualifies it for the Europa League, then the number of teams taking part in the Champions League is bumped up from four to five, while the teams playing in the Europa League fall from three to two.”

I haven't seen dnipro this year to judge their chances v Brugge

Think Fiorentina should take care of kiev despite the fire with which the ukranians are playing and how hard Yarmolenko is trying to finally force his long awaited move to a big club by taking over this tourney.

Sevilla-Zenit are the top two teams left in the tourney in my eyes and the ultimate battle of individual class versus collective excellence. I just can't pick and think one of these teams wins it all.

As for VFL v Napoli, I'm hopefully this is the end for FC VW, though if Dost's form holds that may just be wishful thinking unless Naldo and co really step up their awfulness in the middle of VFL's defense and Benaglio decides he feels like letting some softies in, as he's want to do. Napoli have the firepower to end VFL with their D, and they have the guys on paper to turn the midfield struggle into an even contest, but it's hard to pick against KdB and co and the form that midfield/attack is in. Will be rooting for Napoli, although I have a bad feeling they won't get it done.

The same that happened to Bayern yesterday. Playing sloppy possession based football.

First goal was irregular, though. Offside and handball from Higuain.

Benitez is outcoaching Hecking hard. Not that it wasn't expected, though. This game is actually exactly the same story as Wolfsburg-Inter first leg only that Napoli is a better team than Inter.
All Napoli have to do is sit back, defend well and wait for the counter attack to win this game.

Wolfsburg getting obliterated at home. That was trash goalkeeping.
