And now Sancho has been banished. :(

I think we might see Mount playing out wide too. He was quite effective there for Chelsea in their CL run under Tuchel, albeit on the left more often than not.

Monumental collapse yesterday in our CL match. Kinda enjoyed the choke though. This club literally needs to burn to smoke the Glazers out. Also DDG's critics: eat your heart out.

Manchester United: Qatar's Sheikh Jassim withdraws from process to buy club

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67107688

Qatar was the get-out-of-jail-free card in terms of wiping debt, upgrading the stadium and training grounds, while continuing to improve the starting XI.

I am happy Man U was not sold to Qatari owner. This influx of dirty money to European football needs to stop.

That's a lot of players to buy! I think United should sell Bruno while he has value, but that won't happen.
It's time for 5 refs.

Well a change is needed for sure. I think they can get players in, just hopefully at good value and not all 80mil

Your team spent 87M on Maguire and are unlikely to even hit top 6. Odds of landing someone good are near 0 without heavy overpay either in wages or transfer fees. Anyways that sell list is a comedy - all those players except for Der Beek and Amrabat easily make it into the starting 11. Sancho, Casemiro, Varane are better than the level of the club and would show a 'resurgence' at their next club. Sancho has already done it at Dortmund, which is a much better team than present day Utd.

What about the more pertinent issue - Eth out or no? In the EPL his Utd has the worst fundamentals among the competitors for 6th place.

Yeah, the timing is tough for me there. I think it's better to decide on ETH after the top management levels of the club are finalized. And not sure how much performance can be attributed to just the absolute **** the club has been with the sale taking forever and having muppets in management and to ETH. But he sure did spend a tonne of money on dudes that aren't performing and the team is super selfish.

I think the pieces they have just all play a different game. There just isn't much flow when I watch the games. I'd like to see us just sign a bunch of 20yr olds and see who makes it. Go back to investing in the youth and find your next star.

I'm worried if Ten Hag leaves, who is next. Does an established coach just act as another retread?

I would love an upcoming coach to make his mark. I dont know enough about coaches.

Mourhino is free haha

Given ETH's horrible man management of Sancho I suspect Ronaldo's propaganda interview last year was probably correct in judging him poorly for it. I don't like him but if the club is poor they would probably leave him in the post till the end of contract and counter the managerial instability they manufactured en route to his hire.

Altogether I think the club has consistently backslid from when Ole was a manager right before CR7 was signed. At that point the squad was most coherent and even threatened to break into UCL level. It might be best to bring him back and retry building the attack with another set of faces since every promising attacking prospect from that cohort have been made to fail.

They keep showing Fergie at every game. Should let him just sit on the bench.

I do agree that ETH will probably stay to create some consistency but I am sure he is going to lose some say in players. I think he lost credibility with Antony Transfer.

Way better game from Onana and the whole team.
It's funny, the announcers are like things are coming around for United and for me it all stems from the ownership situation getting sorted, finally. The cloud has lifted, everyone knows things are happening now and there is some direction in place.

Some excellent performances today.
Onana might have had his best game, stopped a bunch of shots and had excellent hands.
Maguire was a monster and didn't get out in too many bad positions with the ball.
Garnacho was making a point to play the ball in to Hojlund, finally.
Dalot had a good game offensively and defensively.
Hojlund is on a roll, Ole McTominay is a super sub.

Still thinking ownership getting sorted has been the most important thing to happen to the club, even right down to the immediate on field performances.

Definitely creating a little more structure and relaxed atmosphere.

I'm excited that we are starting to see the young core they are building. This summer will be crucial as to which way it goes. To me it seems easy, get rid of the older expensive guys and sign a bunch of under 25yr olds to build.

Might have one of the best premier league teams in 2 years.

Ten haag's made a religion of getting the most points from the lowest goal difference. If he get sacked there will be a dozen Serie A clubs interested in him.
