I've really been impressed with Gravenberch's ability to carry the ball. Adds another element to the attack.

Good win today. A little sloppy at times, but job done and 5 goals.

Gravenberch falls in the Nunez category for me. Without them on the pitch, the game isn't as interesting. Love his running, gliding through with his long legs.

Still believe the club is missing a proper DM, one for the long term.

Szoboszlai is so, so good. Good win, nice goals. Lovely gesture from Jota and the team for Díaz.
It's time for 5 refs.

Miserable game today (conditions, play) but of course Núñez comes on to score an absolute banger to win it.

He's just mental. The worst first touch, followed by an absolutely ridiculous goal.

The last 2 games didn't happen, thankfully. Just a fever dream...

It was a rotated squad in the EL. Not sweating too much over that result. If they lose the next one (LASK)...

LASK done and dusted and we're through on top of the group. Lots of nice chances created though a bit sloppy at the end. Quansah really looks to be some player.

I often think he's a clown but largely agree with him here. I think Utd's and most midfields are collectively better than Liverpool's during the Klopp years. The problem is more at a tactics level than at a depth or talent level, but there's been problems with all 3 and that's why it's the weakest line of Liverpool's squad. Liverpool's squad resembles present day Brazil a bit too - strong in the back, strong up top, weak in the middle, and somehow not integrated well together in terms of progression patterns. The squad is also a bit top heavy currently without sufficient hardworking people in the 1st 2 lines to properly connect play. The club probably needed one of Hendo or Fabinho to stay.

Yup.

As long as he continues to provide assists and goals, I can handle a his defensive lapses.

Do you know why he wasn't credited for the goal off his free kick?

Hit the crossbar and then Leno's back. Given as a Leno own goal.

Liverpool just finding a way and they are getting performances out of young players. Quansah has looked good everytime he's been on and i thought both Clark and Bradley looked class today too.

Liverpool is now down its right side -- Salah, Szoboszlai, and TAA -- for a month at the earliest.

Becoming a mash unit...
