Season for my team (Feyenoord) is looking pretty decent now. Standard opponents in the Dutch league Ajax and PSV are in shambles and the Feyenoord squad is looking quite decent, apart from the lack of quality wingers. Departure of Kökcü to Benfica has already been taken care of I think.

We've only got Santiago Gimenez up top, who's the biggest name I've seen at Feyenoord in quite some time probably.

Also: Request for Feyenoord flair

What a finish. Leo is not in shape obviously, but I think he looked good/engaged. He is not here just for a vacation. They need a striker though. Josef Martinez seems to have developed some chemistry with Messi, but he is not the same player anymore. Very poor finisher...

Messi
Alba
Busquets
Possibly Iniesta & Suarez

Is Miami trying to assemble the 2015 Barcelona squad?

So the plan is to just dominate the possession as usual.
Because none of the guys has any legs left to run back.

The plan is to bombard the public with names and get them to pay to watch them once or twice. It's not going to be about football as they are all finished at a high level. It's about celbrity and money.

I would love to see this body cam angle more in football. This gives everyone a real look at how hard top level football is, you don’t get any time on the ball and for the most part your first touch has to be excellent.

It is great. I'd like to see the option of any player with this cam as an inset on the normal match view to get the context.

That would be amazing, also I would love this camera on refs to see what they see. They would probably be against it though lol

If a centre (with AI help) had all the cameras the calls would probably be more accurate and better - never gonna happen though.

Seems like there isn't off-seasons for sports anymore. Just keeps going, but excited for another season to start.

Any thoughts on Gift Orban? Kid looks like he's going to be special.

Buffon finally announces his retirement from football aged 45.

Definitely has a case for being one of, if not the best goalkeeper of all time.

The last six months everything he touches turns to gold.
Seems like a pure goal machine. I think he's not that good in buildup play.
Also helps that he's got Cuypers next to him, who makes life miserable for the opposition.

Pogba tests positive for PED, apparently the second time he's been caught.

Paul Pogba has tested positive in his B sample and could be banned for between two and four years if found guilty of doping.

Pogba's contract with Juventus runs through 2026.

A ban of 2 years or more would probably run through end of his deal with Juventus, at which point he'd be 33.

He didn't play in 2022 WC and he doesn't appear to be playing for the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Obviously not too old to play now and next year but even without a suspension, maybe his international career is trending towards being over? With the deep France national team, there may not be much demand for him.

Depending on whether there's a suspension, his club career could be under jeopardy as well.

Not just his international career, but his club career is likely close to over as well, at least at the highest level. Between injuries and other personal problems, including blackmail from his own brother, he's barely played a game since 2021. Definitely one of the most disappointing career trajectories for a player with so much potential.
