EPL bringing in more than the second and third teams combined. Bet a certain RM fan can twist that around to make Spain still seem the almighty European league.

Already?

Guess we can discuss all the transfers or is there going to be a separate transfer thread?

I can't believe I didn't mention this before but... Martin Tyler has officially retired from PL commentary and is being replaced by Peter Drury.

This is huge **** news for me as someone who has to mute the TV on games Tyler commentates.

Did we talk enough about the fact that Wolverhampton has to pay 50 mil. for that scrub Cunha yet? I don’t think so.

I brought it up in the last transfer thread. They got absolutely played by Atletico.

Don't think I have seen a worse transfer in recent years.

Found this funny. I love Youri really and he's looking incredibly thin compared to last season:

This is getting out of hand.
I hope Fulham give him the polite middle finger and let him rot on the stands for the next three years.

He happily signed a contract until 2026.
If your manager wasn't smart enough to get a release clause into your contract stfu and respect the clubs opinion.

Football is turning really into a game of who is the biggest money *****.

I'm sure you are used to German players leaving Germany to chase the money - it's just that now it's Saudi and not the EPL. I quite like it. Riyad Mahrez downed tools and refused to play for us so that he could go to Man City - no-one made a furore then. Leonardo ulloa did the same and Wes Fofana did it to the French team he was at when he wanted to come to Leicester (before practically doing the same thing thing to us for his Chelsea move). I think most of the smaller clubs and smaller leagues will have experienced players refusing to play to get a move - for money -however they want to frame it.

Season begins tmmrw , i am just about over the collapse of last season but it still hurts.

Predictions? Surely a team can't win 4 in a row and they've lost some big time players but have very adequate replacements....

Champions: Arsenal *ducks into hiding*
T4: Arsenal City United Liverpool , I think 5th gets UCL this year? Newcastle or liverpool are interchangeable here
Europa/Conf League: Chelsea(Spurs if they keep kane) and Villa
Relegated: Luton , Wolves , Sheffield.

Everyone in this league is playing for 2nd.
Just like in the Bundesliga.

I think I agree with all of that, I'd just swap City and Arsenal. Solid predictions.
