Was GMATCallahan on that site? He always had well thought out posts on the espn forums, and it felt like he was copying and pasting them into posts from a book he was writing, but I've only seen him post here a handful of times.

Morey set his Dec. 19 deadline in part because he knows he has an offer he is willing to take. Though things can change several times by Thursday, that individual said "it very likely will be a pretty complicated, three-way deal. There are a lot of moving parts.

.... As much as speculation has centered around Thad Young, if the Rockets are to do a deal with Philadelphia and former Rockets assistant GM Sam Hinkie, it is more likely to be a three-team deal in which the player the Sixers trade goes elsewhere. The Rockets likely would want draft picks in a deal....

Thad Young anybody?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nncnrau

HOU gets: Frye/Okafor/IND 2014 1st
PHI gets: Asik/Lin
PHX gets: Young/Turner

I wouldn't do it.

Phi is tanking, but there's multiple reasons why Phi is an awful team that can't win games in the East, and Turner and Young are a big part it.

Trade machine should be required to collect money for any usage. That way either 1) people will use it judiciously or 2) they have enough money to payoff anyone who complains about their trade suggestions.

We get that you think we should stand pat with what we have already. Maybe The TRADE Thread is a thread that you should spend less time in then. I mean we are here to discuss trades and trade ideas. :dontknow:

I think McD has made it clear he wants to go after "STAR" players. Neither of your proposed players fit the description. Fortunately saying that trade doesn't really fit (in a slightly humorous way) constitutes a discussion too.

BTW I used to generally stay out of the trade thread. Mainly because the past two years I started free agent threads so I that I didn't have to filter through pages of crazy trade ideas. Unfortunately the free agent thread got merged this year into the trade thread. Someone has to pay the price for my suffering.

The only part Turner and Young have in Phi not being able to win games is that they are contractually obligated to play minutes on that horrid team.

Anybody outside the top 5-10 guys in the league would have a tough time getting wins on that team.

MR is not MIA. He's actually bar tending here in New Orleans. I had his number saved on a PM on .net and I can't get to it.

its awesome that we have people ready to step up when we need them to it seems like every other day its someone stepping up. Tucker, plumlee, frye, morris twins, Green hasn't in a while but he shot decent tonight and really did well early in the season (seems like thats the only thing keeping him in our good side other than being a cool guy off the court)
