"The defense attorneys for Marcus and Markieff Morris have asked a Maricopa County Superior Court judge to return the case to a grand jury because they say prosecutors falsely presented information that led to an indictment on charges of aggravated assault.

Prosecutors presented "false and misleading evidence" and withheld information vital to the case, the Morris twins' attorneys said in motion to return the case to a grand jury to determine whether there is probable cause to indict the NBA players."

fwiw I had a dream last night that I was jacking up right corner 3s with JR Smith on the Suns. We were winning by quite a margin and were playing against the Wiz.

Outstanding! Marcus will get off on a technicality...Go Justice System!! :noway:

In all honesty, I DO very much appreciate the best justice system in the world, and I get the need for ensuring that everyone is provided with an honest and fair trial, but it's a shame when those truly guilty get off on technicalities (and I'm not saying the MoBros are guilty, btw).

In this case, the evidence seems sufficient enough that it should go to trial, is all I'm saying. And actually, I personally doubt either of them actually 'participated'. But I am fairly confident, that at the very least, they were aware of what was going on at the time, and while that doesn't necessarily make them guilty (I don't think), they sure as heck didn't do anything to prevent it.

On the fantasy basketball piece, I might be interested. I've never participated, and I like the idea of separating the 'nuggets' from the experienced. I have done Fantasy Football a couple of times, though, so I get the premise.

Maybe someone can come up with a list of who is in which league and ask if anyone else wants to participate? Kerrsed?

I'd be interested in playing. Been playing fantasy hoops pretty seriously for 10+ years. It's pretty early to do the draft though. There are other ways to kill time during the offseason. Five or six years ago I participated in a mock draft of the league. It took around 6 weeks. It requires 30 dedicated guys. It was pretty interesting. It was fun to look back on the teams a couple of years later.

They are actually doing a mock draft like that somewhere in these forums. I think the trade and transaction/game forum or something like that.

Here it is. It's the GMAT game...look how many threads there are now. Just a couple of weeks ago, when I got an email about it, there was only one thread I think. It looks very extensive. viewforum.php?f=340

Sounds good. If more are interested, I will try and do a Suns fan league. I was in a league last year in the fantasy football forum, but there were only 8 teams. I did win though. It was a 2 qb league..that definitely makes it interesting.

You may have never done a rotisserie league though, which is different than most fantasy football leagues. You just have 8-9 stat categories and you accumulate stats throughout the season. But really, if you just find a few player rankings, the draft should be easy. I've only seen one person get extremely confused during the draft process.

I had a dream last night that I was "playing a game" with Scarlett Johansen and then the Suns won the championship. What does it all mean?

Yeah Markeiff has keep his personal feelings quiet (except with a few cryptic messages via twitter) but its quite apparent he doesnt want to be a Sun. And you can bet your A$$ that marcus is talking to him (and screwing with his mind) daily, telling him he needs to leave. Marcus is a complete scumbag and he is bring Markeiff down with him (because Markeiff is more of a follower). I dont know what he market is like for Markeiff right now but I am at the point that I just want him gone. Im all about addition by subtraction.

BTW Gambo gets major props for laying the smackdown on Marcus via twitter!

Sometimes I think things get blown out of porportion. remember last offseason you bashed the hell out of tucker for his DUI calling him cancer to locker room etc. well now the way you say things is that the Morris bros became cancer. Let's not forget how Dragic was being toxic his final days in phx.

I think the media Ramps things up. Markieff is in legal trouble but outside that I don't have a problem with him. Expecislly since Marcus is gone

I bashed the hell out of Tucker since he got to the team. I can't stand his game and his low IQ. But I never called him a "cancer to the lockerroom". I think you confused me with someone else. I think he isn't very smart and the team needs to move on from him. He decision making both on and off the court are not ones you want around younger players. Calling someone a cancer in the lockerroom implies that he creates a bad evironment in the lockerroom. I dont think he is a bad locker room guy, I just think he is a couple cans short of a six pack. He definitely isnt a "leader" this team needs. I welcome you to find a quote from me calling him a "cancer." Anyway the point is moot.

The media didnt have to "ramp" up anything, Marcus is doing a fine job all by himself. Also, I am happy for you that you don't have a problem with markieff but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to fall in line with your thinking.

What exactly should we call him? He started the last off-season with his super DUI, then was missing team buses and getting stupid technicals in critical games. Then after the season was over he is drinking by the pool and destroying nachos. How is this guy a positive influence?

Jeezus... its one thing to bash behavior, but knocking back a few coldies poolside in Vegas in the off season certainly is OK in my book. Now if Tuck shows up outta shape then you may be onto something... but one plate of Nachos washed with Heinies isn't the blame.

Now that was an odd response. He clearly doesn't like PJ either.

My biggest criticism of Tucker is his play. He is not that good. Certainly not good enough to be a starter, especially on a team like the Suns. Maybe he could start on an elite team as the one role player that does not do much other than hustle and play defense, but on the Suns his low IQ and poor scoring ability really hurts the team.

The super-extreme DUI and missing the team bus twice last year is embarrassing. It shows one thing, he is irresponsible. No other way to say it. He cares about the team but he messed up multiple times, including games where he got technicals at critical points in the game. Stuff like that proves he is absolutely not a leader, hence why McDonough never mentions him as being a leader of the team.

Bottom line, I do not care if the Suns trade him. If that happens, I highly doubt anyone on here is going to say one day wow, the team really misses Tucker! Yeah right. Although I think criticizing him for eating nachos and lounging by a pool is asinine. What someone is eating is none of my business. The only thing that matters is if they come to play every night like Tucker. However, like I said before, what I do not like about him is that he is just not a good player.

Holy f*ckballs! Tucker is just fine. He doesn't take the ball out of other guys hands, he does all the hustle plays, he defends the opposing team's best wing player and often ends up guarding the their best player throughout games, and he has become a pretty decent three point shooter.

Yes a year ago he had a bad DUI, and yes he missed two team buses to the airport, yet managed to make both flights.

Right now I'd much rather have Bledsoe, Knight, and Keef taking the bulk of the shots, and letting Tucker and Chandler taking the leftover shots when needed.

Anyone read the Grantland Article aout CKSA Moscow (aka Sonny Weems' old team)? Sorry if this was already posted.
The crowd comes to life briefly in the fourth, when Weems throws a punch in the direction of an Enisey big man who shoved fellow CSKA import Hines, but enough teammates intervene to snuff out the squabble, and the visitors coast to a 93-79 win.

Weems received a one-game suspension for his role in the Enisey brawl, so he won’t dress for the next day’s home date with Nymburk. He regrets nothing. “We’re Americans,” he says. “We don’t take that ****. Where I’m from, if someone gets that close to me, I don’t know what they’re going to do.”

Everyone want's Weems off the team now, right? Throwing punches during games?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I'd still take Weems over Goodwin any day of the week. But that cringeworthy jingoistic comment just made him out to be what every Euro caricatures a Yank as being.(But he's a Southron bred Dixie boy through and through). No wonder he's back in the States
