Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA

Bryant sullen and angry over ankle sprain, called it his worst sprain since 2000 season.

You knew it when he went down. Too bad Utah is terrible.

Nash will keep them afloat, and Kobe will be back much sooner than we all think

Look if it was that bad, he wouldn't have walked off the court and he's is just milking this for motivation. Trying to rally the troops to make a big push and cement that playoff spot. Somehow the guy has they ability to play through all sorts pain and injuries. He will be starting in the next game and log major minutes.

Kobe always plays up his injurys. After hearing that "worst since 2000" line it only makes me more inclined to believe he wont miss a single game.

He'll be back soon. If he doesn't, Nash will get a bigger role and run a proper offense.

The run is over fishy. This is exactly why I wouldnt guarnatee that the Lakers would make the playoffs; Kobe has been carrying the team the past few weeks and it seems the extra weight blew out his ankle. :D

Short of Kobe making some miraculous recovery, this shifts the odds back into our favor. I havent stopped smiling since I heard he got injured.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. They have weapons still. And then there is always Stern. I'll be glad to eat crow, but I'm not starting the oven just yet.

Kobe might stay down this time. Give us that damn lotto pick.

Not to call anyone out or flame, but this made me roflcopter.

The plot thickens!

I wouldn't put it past Kobe to play through the injury and play well.

Let's see what happens. If only Utah would step up and fight for that last playoff spot!

Kobe is tough as nails but he is also getting older and has a lot of basketball miles on that body considering all the post season play and coming straight out of highschool. Father time is undefeated...

If it was anybody else, I'd say the Lakers are screwed. Kobe will be back soon.

Pacers, Kings, Suns, Wizards, and Warriors.
Those are the next 5 games. Kobe will return against the Wizards. The Wizards game is in 8 days, and he came back from his 2000 sprain in like 3 days.

In regards to that wager you made several pages back-don't cancel your funeral plans just yet but it looks like you may live after all, let us all hope  now does the draft pick or your life come first in my prayers?
