I predict that Bron is gonna go back to the Cavs to quote unquote try to make it right. Back to where he started and grew up.

If he believes they have the pieces to be successful (including the the right coach), this would be a huge PR career save for LeBron. But if he doesn't think he can win there, he won't go.

Thing is, Lebron doesn't even need any PR help anymore. He's one of the most likeable players in the league.

Not really. He still flops like a bitch and looks for fouls all the freakin' time. He's acted like a primadonna on and off the court for years now and gone from one of the most likable players in the league to one of the most unlikable.

That said, he's improved in that regard over the last year. Hopefully he keeps improving.

Maybe everywhere but Ohio. But Ohio is home.

Mega "go for it" trade (not sure if ATL is over the cap but they're close so may not work)

Suns receive - Hayward + Horford
Jazz receive - Green, Wash 1st, Ind 1st
Hawks receive: M-Twins, Min 1st, Lal 1st

Would leave us with our 1st this year...

Bledsoe/Dragic
Dragic, Goodwin
Hayward, Tucker
Horford, Frye
Plumlee, Frye/Len

+ our 1st round rookie somewhere in there

Unfortunately there's this thing called the Luxury Tax.

I don't see that team winning a championship anyways...

I would try and pry MKG from the bobcats. I think he fits our run and gun style. Maybe twolves first will do it. Probably wouldn't go over well AT ALL with their fans but then again who saw Thomas Robinson being on his third team in 2 years

No team on paper wins a championship, but on paper I don't think there's more than 3 better rosters in the league. That's my point.

Why is that a "Hmph"? The Suns currently have up to 4 picks that would be in the later half of the draft (if the Wizards and TWolves get better and the Suns stay on their current trajectory). The Suns team is super young, and very competitive. They may be one disgruntled star away from being a contender. You definitely don't need 4 picks in one first round.

I just don't see any realistic trades right now that are going to significantly improve the Suns.

Love will not be on the radar so long as the Wolves are close to playoff territory. He has two more years with the Wolves after this season. If they fall out of contention by February I could see them moving Love for lots of picks. But I hate mid-season trades because the receiving team generally loses in the chemistry department.

Really who else could we trade with? Has to be a non-playoff team with a star player. Right now that would be Love, Dirk, Melo. Who else fits the bill? Love would be the only one who I would consider giving away picks. Otherwise wait until next year and try to pick up one as a FA.

Just because he is looking it doesn't mean he will pull the trigger. He'll always be looking for something. In McD We Trust, and stuff.

Raptors mod here.

DeMar DeRozan, SG

24 yrs old

9.5M per season deal started this year for the next 4.

21.5-3.1-3.6 as a SG 43%/35% (better from the corners), and numbers were improving even before dumping Rudy. Even better since. (27-5-6 tonight)

Good team guy, never gets hurt, west coast guy so would probably like being closer to home. Dying to be on a playoff team.

What would he be worth to you? And might you also like his buddy and great value two-way analytics hero PF/C Amir Johnson (17.5 PER, good by basically every metric, 2nd in the NBA in FG% in the paint, 6.5M for the next two years.)? I personally like both and so does the team. But we're going down before we go up.

We just started a massive tank and are aiming for hometown Wiggins but Masai is hunting for more picks as well. You guys have damn near cornered the market on mid 1sts that might be in play.

Thoughts?

Okafor + multiple picks for both works from a salary perspective.
Raptors Season Ticketholder since the 2000 playoffs, through all the lows... build to the championship high... to Tampa and back again.
RIP The Hater - we miss you.

I found it interesting, hence the hmph. I don't see much available to even consider a move at this point. The only 2 "impact" guy I could see possibly coming available are Love and Melo. Melo is a turd and I have zero interest in him. Love on the other hand is someone I'd definitely pursue.

Depends on what McD considers a star, he might bait Utah into trading Hayward, maybe he goes for Monroe, maybe it does eventually lead to Love or something. I have no idea but I do know they will be young and I trust in McD to make the right trade.

Don't want DeRozan cause we don't need anymore guards and he would be paid too much to come off the bench.

Love Amir Johnson. Frye and Indiana first round pick for him? Plus fillers like Okafor if needed.
