I think the next player we should discuss is... Derrick Favors!!!
Here I'll start the debate, we should trade Kieff/Tucker/Goodwin/Bogdanovic/Leur +Cleveland's pick/Suns 2016 pick/Miami 2017 pick for Derrick Favors.
I'll even post the responses I'll receive for this trade proposal. If you have a different response, feel free to add yours to the list below.

If you were a Jazz fan would you do this deal? No you wouldn't. Other teams don't want our trash. Also your trade doesn't work with ESPN trade machine, so there's that.

Too many picks for an unproven 24 year old, who is only marginally better than Kieff. I would only trade that many picks if we were to get an all-star in return, and Favors isn't one.

We aren't giving the Jazz enough, throw in Miami's pick, and another 1st from us, completely unprotected of course, and Len for safe measures.

Boring part of offseason is boring.

There are only a handful of teams that have roster room for one of these 4 to 5 man for 1 swaps. Examine the opposing teams' line up before proposing the latest centerfold pinup deal. There is a 15 man limit you know.....

If Keif wants out.... plain and simple... Taj Gibson for KeifMo.

I think any deal made will be more of an attitude adjustment than one trying to fill our needs. I have to think the FO has a couple of options if the lone MoBro shows up with a sourpuss. It didn't take long for McDuh to move his punkbro out of here did it? Hats off on that one. I think its up to Keif at this point (for right now) He needs to come into camp with a professional demeanor and just do his F-n job.

You then can dump PJ somewhere if he doesn't fall in line. Will be interesting to see what kind of condition party boy shows up in. Big yellow flag if Tucker come in all Diaw-ish.


PS.... LMAO at the continual Goodwin love. I have nothing against AG, want him to do well for us... but steadfast projections of near-all-star potential is quite amusing. He's just a kid like Lamb, PJ3, etc. Fodder until further notice.

I really think that Favors or Ibaka are a perfect fit on our team and our FO would trade for them hard if they become available.
Defensively they are GREAT and both are very good finishing at the rim. Ibaka is very good spacing and Favors is decent...Favors is good in the post too, something that we need because Len and Chandler are not that type of players.

Utah is firm in its position to keep Favors, who would be a catch with a valuable contract. Suns coach Jeff Hornacek knows and likes Favors from his years on the Jazz staff.

The trade burners have no dish that is close to being ready to serve. The season might have to unfold before there is a star-quality or star-potential player who becomes available in a trade. If the Suns improve enough internally, maybe a move for a player such as Serge Ibaka would become enticing.

We are trading away Goodwin who hasn't even developed nor had consistent playing time. Then apparently if we want to keep Goodwin who is a throw in we can replace him with Bogdan who is apparently also trash.

Why not just trade away Warren and Booker? Who needs youth when we can get Serge **** Ibaka who this franchise could have drafted themselves years ago

I think Archie is personally the most overhyped youngin on this board.. Hell I think if he doesn't progress this year and prove his worth Booker might have a shot to edge him out in the rotation sooner than later

Yes, the Archie love is a bit crazy. I want him to succeed and he looked pretty good in summer league but that was his THIRD summer league. He hit some shots but can he shoot in a real nba game? I'm skeptical at best. Someone in their third summer league should dominate. He's still young, so hopefully he improves, but Booker already looks just as good as him, and he was young in his first summer league. He looks like a much smarter player and a far better shooter. Booker SHOULD play ahead of him in the rotation.

The Suns young players are only available if the return is for a superstar, and I mean a true superstar, and not someone that is on the wrong side of 30 either. Unfortunately for the Suns, none of those players are available. If one does become available, then I would say the Suns would consider trading anyone, but who knows what is going to happen.

And Serge Ibaka? Yeah I would trade Morris and/or Tucker for him but no one else. He ain't close to a superstar. Why would you ever consider trading a bunch of young talent for him. Electing to pay him instead of James Harden is probably the worst move I have ever seen a gm make. Role playing, defensive power forwards like Ibaka can be found throughout the league. Harden is a top five player in basketball. I still cannot believe they chose Ibaka over Harden when they could have signed someone or drafted someone to replace Ibaka.

Apparently everyone here has a hard on for Ibaka. OKC chose him over Harden. How did that work out for them?

You guys vastly underrate the impact Ibaka has. OKC needs him more than they would need Harden (provided Durant and Westbrook were healthy). There are not enough basketballs for high usage guys like that. The fact that they got separated allowed all three of them to grow in the players they are. I'm not saying OKC should have traded Harden. They should have kept both, but I still think Westbrook, Durant and Harden wouldn't have grown into the players they are today if they all three still played for the same team.

You're saying you wouldn't trade away two unproven late 1st rounder, a moody Markieff and some mid to late 1st rounder picks for a PROVEN NBA big man?

For that matter, Ibaka is only turning 26 in September. A soon to be 26 year old PF, who has developed a good 3PT shot, is a multiple time All-NBA Defensive FIRST teamer and has been deep in the playoffs isn't worth a guy who has played spot minutes and Bogdan who hasn't even played a single NBA minute?

They obviously don't know how good Ibaka is. He was a great player BEFORE he added the three to his arsenal. I think he is probably the best two way 4 in the game. Duncan, if you consider him a 4, is more skilled, but considering age and athleticism, Ibaka, will pass him soon if he hasn't already. Aldridge is far better offensively, but Ibaka is far better defensively. I'd take Ibaka over Love, and I really like Love. Blake Griffin is good offensively, but I'd prefer Ibaka, the way the nba is going, due to his defensive presence and his ability to stretch the floor. I may be missing someone else. Horford at the 4 is up there too as is Millsap, but all things considered, I still take Ibaka.

Yeah, OKC already lost James Harden I don't see them taking such a gamble considering Kieff, Tucker, etc are unproven players while Ibaka is only 26 and already established himself in the league. So, it doesn't make sense for OKC but could be huge for the Suns but I doubt this type of trade happens as I give it 5% and I'm being polite.

Yes, we've already established there is no way in hell they would even consider that for a second. They wouldn't consider it if we threw in Warren and Booker.

Can't find upcoming seasons release. It might be released by mid august or early September but not 100% sure.

He is nailing 3s, nailing jump shots. The one thing he hasn't improved much is patience. He still plays in top gear or order gear.... No middle gears. But that comes with age and maturity.

With minutes Goodwin has produced. You can't deny that. And he is 20 years old. He could be coming out of college now.

if a 3 time all 1st team defense who would stretch the floor for the Suns not be considered extremely valuable in this system than who is? Also do you think Booker, Bogdan and Goodwin will all still be here long term? Unless Bledsoe and/or Knight get traded, keeping all three is unlikely.
