Nice an extra pick. I hope we re-sign Pietrus.

Not too bad. I found it hard to believe we would sign jrich after this year anyways. Gortat is the big we've been coveting and now we have the cap room to go after a Gasol/Randolph this offseason plus 2 1st rounders this year to rebuild with.

Couldn't we at least get Brandon Bass or Ryan Anderson in a deal? Why the %$# do we need 2 more wings? Again we're stuck with the same logjam and no PF.

If this is true, you guys raped the Magic. Dumped two chuckers, one very overpaid, one about to become very overpaid for solid players. I especially like Gortat for you guys. And you get a pick from THEM? Icing on the cake. ESPN though is reporting that Gortat isn't in it, so whichever version is true is going to determine how good the deal is.

I understand we want to deal hedo, and jrich is our most tradable asset. BUT our problem is too many wings, trading 2 for 2 and only getting back another C who when we already have frye and Lopez makes no sense

Tradin both and getting bass, Thompson etc makes more sense

Hmmmm

What.

Just... what.

I don't even.

JRich has been keeping us viable, and we're replacing him with ... Vince Carter???
We're getting TWO MORE DECENT BUT BENCH-QUALITY small PF/SF types. Because we need those!
We're aiming for the oldest starting lineup in NBA history (3 people age 33+???)
But we get a draft pick from one of the better teams in the East! Grrrreat! Might even be in the top 20!

Jeebus H Christ on a pogo stick. This is beyond awful.

Congrats guys, you've made out like bandits in this trade. The salary dump + Pick is well worth it in the long run.

Awesome deal front this front office IMO. I think another deal may be on the horizon as well. I'm glad they could admit they made mistakes last offseason and tried to improve it.

U can never say it's boring being a suns fan. Historically we always make trades, recruit good free agents etc

Lots of message board fodder

So Gortat, does he come straight in and start? I'd do it, try light a fire under Lopez

Love Pietrus' game here too
