So what do all the Turkoglu apologists have to say now?
The Turkoglu criticism on this site has been scoffed by the Turkoglu apologists since the original trade went down, I'm curious what the Turkoglu apologists (you know who you are) have to say?

Lol, they have nothing to say to you guys anymore. They're all dusting off their Magic jerseys and praying that he isn't indeed washed up.

I'll take a stab at this since I clearly fall into what you describe as apologist. But I'm certainly not going to apologize for Hedo's play or his time here. The problems he had were managements, and there's alone. He was nearly a perfect fit for the Suns I have watched and loved over the Nash years. He was long, could pass, shoot and was a team player. Had he been given a chance to play his natural spot I believe he would have excelled. Alas, we'll never know.
Everyone, and I mean practically everyone on the various Suns board think's this is an overwhelmingly positive trade. Beware when the herd is convinced they are correct. To me, this a sign that the era of fast paced, highly efficient Suns basketball is over. Sure, they'll still be some of the old glory but not like before. And the biggest danger in this trade is how it will affect Steve Nash. I used to firmly believe he wanted to retire a Sun and try to win one in Phoenix on his own terms. But everyone has there limits and he's expressed concern in the past over the constant state of change on the Suns. They haven't even been able to integrate the new players from over the summer and now they have three new ones with maybe more on the way. I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns now miss the playoffs this year and I didn't think that before. Only time will tell how this trade will pan out.

He wasn't terrible. It just wasn't a good fit somehow. For 11 million a year, it was imperative we move his contract since this current team was going nowhere. I like how our FO can man up to their mistakes and fix it within a reasonable time frame.

I'll correct myself and say your excellent quote should nail this out.

If by "turkoglu apologist" you mean "someone who didn't think Hedo sucked", then yeah, that's what I am. He's still a really good player. It's not his fault that the two headed Blabby FO was like "hey Hedo, let's make you a power forward even though there's no possible way you can succeed at that role!"
I don't understand the Hedo hate. Ask Amare to play SF and see what happens.

Thank you.
"apologists" we're not, we're just people who realize his worth to a team. He was put in a terrible situation by the management, and it showed. He still came in and hit ridiculous shots, never caused a problem in the locker room, etc. The guy did whatever he could to try and make it work.
It's really as if all of you were brainwashed by the idiot Raptor fans or something.

Re: So what do all the Turkoglu apologists have to say now?
Lets hear what his new (or former coach) speaks about him.
“Why he has struggled or whatever, I don’t know,” Van Gundy said on Saturday.
Van Gundy expressed confidence that Turk’s problems have to do with the system he’s been in, not his skills. When Phoenix visited Orlando earlier this season, Van Gundy inferred that Turk wasn’t a good fit with Suns point guard Steve Nash, and in that system all Turk got to do was shoot three-pointers.
“I know he’s 6-10 with skills,” Van Gundy said. “His skills have not eroded, I know that. We’ve watched enough on film. We’ll see. I know he can shoot the ball and he can handle the ball and he can pass the ball, and I know he’s capable of defending. We’ve gotta get him back into that mode a little bit.”

Re: So what do all the Turkoglu apologists have to say now?
well obviously the OP is a Hedo hater and just wanted to flop his out to brag...
the point is... as someone aready mentioned..
Hedo had the skills to FIT as the Suns ideal Small Forward type player... long, can shoot... can pass... basically a mid-range/3pt specialist version of Diaw... but with more point forward skills..
Instead the Suns used him as a Power forward... guarding bangers abd going against bangers... not to mention he was used as a spot up shooter.... taking away Hedo's biggest advantage... a 6'10 point forward that can create for others...
So go ahead OP.... flop it out some more and dangle it... no one can see it either way.

Let me briefly analyze this for fellow board members with straight heads ONLY. Because I know that the people who always try to indoctrinate and who do not possess any reasoning and critical and analytical thinking are already brain-dead. And we know who they are. The funny thing to me is that, when you look at the profiles of these people, some of them may not even be able to watch the games as most of these people will show Canada, Australia, Korea, Argentina and other countries from across the world. I know the game belongs to all and it has long become international! But I have strong sense that most of these people come here to bring only hate and they have no idea whatsoever what they are talking about.
Now some encyclopedic knowledge to service those who are "reading/understanding/thinking-" challenged! Because you are bringing the word criticism, let me focus on this concept first and provide you with a definition so we are all on the same page:
Criticism is the judgement of the merits and faults of the work or actions of an individual or group by another (the critic). To criticize does not necessarily imply to find fault, but the word is often taken to mean the simple expression of an objection against prejudice, or a disapproval.
Another meaning of criticism is the study, evaluation, and interpretation of literature, social movements, film, arts, and similar objects and events. The goal of this type of criticism is to understand the work or event more thoroughly. Links to different types of criticism can be found at the bottom of this page.
Now, this is what you are saying again: "The Turkoglu criticism on this site has been scoffed by the Turkoglu apologists since the original trade went down, I'm curious what the Turkoglu apologists (you know who you are) have to say"?
1) "Hedo hate" is not criticism,
2) most people do not bring any analytical ideas on the table and just vomit brilliance such as "he is fat" "he is pathetic" "I hate him" "he is old" "he is expensive" "he is the worst power forward in the world," and I do not think these important pieces of art would count as criticism
3) Hitting back with logical arguments, analysis, critical thinking, and inference IS NOT apology! I do not think that people like me were trying to apologize on behalf of Hedo!
4) People like me were trying to overcome and survive this cyber "lynch"
Long story short, only read this couple of pages and see how many reasonable people on this board were trying to offer reason and analysis! But boy, is it possible to do so? I did not mean to enter this forum to act as a Hedo police! But from the first moment, I found myself in a highly electrified environment special thanks are due to those brilliant Raptors with their intoxicating attitude and high dose of hate. Man! They started the hate and lynch even before the guy set his foot on the desert sand! And, I apologize for trying to back these guys off!
Now, in closing, I will apologize to those reasonable and civilized fans, as I have lost myself in this arrogant, uncivilized, and ignorant crowd and have turned into one of them" angry and acidic! yes, this is the only time I am being apologist, but not for Hedo, for myself. I am sorry for becoming like you! Pathetic and uncivilized!!!

Thanks are due to Kerrsed for image enhancement and generous technical assistance

The way I am viewing this, through Hedu we have acquired Gortat for Barbosa. I do not think anyone needs to apologize for that. Perhaps you can get some salve for your rash.

Re: So what do all the Turkoglu apologists have to say now?
More important question is, why do all the Turkoglu haters have to say now?
The thing that escaped most of you guys is not knowing when to support and respect the uniform. If a guy tries hard, works after practices, keeps his head down while trying to make something out of an unfavorable situation for him; you support him.
My reaction was about that and the senseless bashing. Players have very little say in trades, look what happened to Rashard Lewis. Our FO brought him here and our coaching staff put him in front of banger PFs.
He clearly didn't respect Toronto, but showed his respect to Phoenix. He was put in a WORSE situation here, but not once he complained or did anything that would hurt the team as far as the chemistry goes. So unless you are a closeted Raptors fan or have prejudices, why would you bash the guy?

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.
"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

I'm happy with the trade. But wouldn't have cared if Hedo stayed here because next year when the Suns obtained a star PF/C, Hedo would have showed his worth as starting SF.
