That's kind of a low risk/bargain for him.

If he can play alongside Melo and RoLo and just do the dirty work there's no reason he can't give them 13-15pts and 6-7 rebounds.

Good low risk buy.

But also a reality kick to the nads when NY was after all the big names haha

Quietly New York has put together a bit underrated frontline, as weird as it seems. :o
They have added RoLo (a bit expensive, but who cares), Derrick Williams (good off the bench, might break out a bit), and O'quinn (who is a mini-Ben Wallace in the making)... They have Melo and Prozingis (plus they can re-sign Bargnani on the cheap I think.)
They have also added Afflalo, and Jerian Grant/Calderon can be OK at the point. If they gel right that could be a playoff team in the east.
If we are serious about giving Prozingis a try and give them Bledsoe, I'd say that could be a top 3-4 team in the east, as I'm sure they could add some OK vets (Hill, West, Bass, etc...)

This could go in either thread, but I'm thrilled we haven't (so far) offered middling contracts to average players in an attempt to be more competitive.

Yes and no. O'Quinn, Bass, Ed Davis, Corey Joseph all landed on good contracts for their respectable teams in my opinion. Would be happy with either of those guys on those contracts. Plus we have signed Chandler to be more competitive (and push for LMA, which almost worked, so kinda congrats on it).

Other remarks for the latest FA news: Lakers won't be as bad as last year. I think their PG situation is OK, with Lou and Clarkson. They have Russel and Kobe on the wing ( I believe they will play together, and Kobe will be more of an SF than an SG), plus they still have Nick Young. In the front they have Hibbert, Randle and Bass. They sign one or two more vets to round it out, and they will have a better record than last year (when both Kobe and Randle did not play pretty much all season).

The Raptors moves are intresting as well, now they have a bunch of assets, I think they could take a step forward (especially with Pierce leaving Washington), or also trade for a star like we are trying to do.

Call me stupid, but even the Kings can make some noise if Karl and/or Rondo/Cousins don't kill each other. Which is likely, but still :D
They have signed Rondo, Belinelli, Koufos, drafted WCS, and still have Collison, McLemore, Gay, Landry (?), Casspi and DMC. Otheld r than spacing problems and headcases, that could be an OK team even in the west.

Just my 2c

Loool, he does look like Bobby S.

And while we are talking Bball, the contracts of Bled and Knight are on the cheapish side. If only one of them starts playing a bit better that contract gonna look like a highway robbery in a year or so.

It appears I am posting to much, since this will be the 7th thread where I have the last post. Sorry for that, but I will be in some big time work deals over the next two days, so keep those combative arguments at a minimum..no need to take things personally...laugh them off and post something respectful in return and that makes someone think about their post and how it may have been out of line more than ridiculing or attacking them, which only exacerbates things.

Instead of...that is the most ridiculous post I have ever seen....go for something more along the lines...of..I can't see that team doing that under any circumstances, and here is why...

Well that response is a bit excessive, but I understand it because most all posters have been solid lately, but, as I'm sure you've seen, or maybe not, we have had a few combative arguments and personal attacks, and if those are fine by you, than your post makes more sense. I see you posted the crazy icon, but that is accurate...I am **** crazy.
