Hey guys, I am in the middle of negotiating an Okafor trade. Don't kill me but, I have Okafor plus 24 and 26 for #4 and #13, what do you guys think? Before for you cuss me out go check out Okafor battles with Cousins, Kristaps, and Towns on youtube; also his 6 minute highlight from last season.

I would do it. Philly front office won't.

It looks like Celtics will trade pick 3 for Okafor, as predicted by many here... which isnt hard to do, since Celtics tried to get him in the trade deadline, but probably held back just in case their pick became top 2.

Well we get Bender then. Win win if you ask me. I love Dunn but I have heard Bender upside is better so, I am okay with drafting him.

Probably only deal breaker is if one of Simmons or Ingram drops to pick 3, in which Celtics keep it... but assuming 76ers pick Simmons... if Lakers pick someone else other than Ingram, then Celtics get Ingram at pick 3.

I have a feeling we will most likely address our biggest need and come out with one of -- Bender, Okafor, Noel -- either via trade or through the draft. This will inject some much needed youth and athleticism to our frontline. None of the guards available from 4-7 are game changers, and it's not even a guarantee any of them will turn out better than what we already have (i.e. Bledsoe & Knight).

So i just spent the better half of an hour reading articles about Okafor and Philly trade rumors, and one thing that i kept coming across is when the mention the Okafor to Boston trade, its almost always Okafor STRAIGHT UP for the #3 pick. No addition of players. No addition of more Celtics draft picks, just Okafor for the #3.

Its reported that Philly wants either Murray or Dunn. They want one to run the point for them. No matter who Boston drafts, one of them will still be available. Seriously, if the offer of Okafor for #4 is on the table, i take it.

We are not trading Booker. There, it had to be said.

Interesting idea..... Bledsoe to the Kings for #8/WCS.

Look, i love me some Bledsoe. Honestly one of my favorite Suns PG's of all time. But doing something like this could really boost our team. If Philly and Boston dont agree on a trade, more than likely Boston will be drafting Bender. That would leave us Dunn at #4. Boom! Bledsoe replacement. With the #8 pick, we would have pretty much any PF of our choosing (Labissiere/Davis/Chriss). At #13 we could snatch up anyone who is dropping in the draft, or even better use it in trade.

Just an idea as i saw a few article mentioning trading WCS to move up in the draft to select their future PG and the idea of reuniting Bledsoe with Cousins might really hit home with their FO. Also there was a thread about trading WCS+#8 on the trade board.

Last year it was discussed Okafor for pick AND Smart.

I hope it stays either the same or Smart is chaged to Bradley. Okafor is better than just a 3 pick.

If that's true, I hope BC passes on #3 for Okafor as well.

I just read an article a few days ago about how they need to trade one or the other because they cannot play together. They both want to be the #1 option and have the ball.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/ct-derrick-rose-jimmy-butler-trade-spt-0522-20160521-column.html

Reading that made me wonder how much Butler would even like playing with our guards, but we certainly wouldn't or shouldn't be trading for both of them.

Ive read more than a few articles on the subject and it seems more like its a bit of a clash of personalities. Rose was their everything. Team leader. MVP. Franchise star. He goes down to injury and Butler was forced to step up and take over, which he did (and did a damn good job). Rose saw his team slipping away from him and starting to become Butlers team. Rose's ego got the best of him and thats where the issues stem from.

The Bulls know that both Rose and Butler cant co-exist. They would be smart to move Rose, but also know how hard that would be and what little return they could get. Rose did have a decent year after returning from injury once again, so those are pretty much the reasons that they have somewhat put Butler on the trade block over Rose.

Yeah, I got all that from the article, and on top of that, Butler criticized the coaching this year, so they might prefer him going.
