We simply cannot afford to give this guy away for what will likely be nothing of meaningful note. He WANTS to be here and has no desire to be traded. He's a perfect fit and could be a lynchpin piece for years to come.

Grayson Allen sprained right ankle, x-rays negative, day-to-day, says Frank Vogel.

kinda bummed that this likely means he will not get an invite to that 3pt contest. and even if he got invited, it might be best for him to rest.

Asked James Jones about Grayson Allen and a potential extension. He first joked, “You’re asking me to project 5 months from now?”

Then: “We don’t want him to go anywhere, which is why he’s here. There’s plenty of interest in Grayson Allen, but no one values him more than we do”

Nice! Glad Allen got a contract that he truly deserves. What an impressive season by him and still leader in 3 point %.

Had my doubts when we traded for him, but man he's fit like a glove next to the big 3. Perfect complimentary player and when you compare him to other guys on $17m+ who I wouldn't deem 'stars', he's an elite role player for that price (eg Harrison Barnes $18m/$19m, Norm Powell $19m/$20m, Duncan Robinson $19m/$20m, DeAndre Hunter $22m/$23m/$25m - yuck).

I wish he valued him when Milwaukee offered to trade him straight up for Jae Crowder.

Glad we didn't sign him to 20m per so 70M over 4 years is fair value. Now we better resign Royce O'Neal because he's been just as impactful as Grayson in the short time he's been here.

Fantastic deal

$20m is what you have to pay for a starter level guy these days so a couple mil below that per year is a good deal. He's earned it, it's good for us and I'm glad we got it done.

Yeah, if we could have gotten him for Crowder and still done the Beal deal while keeping the other assets, we'd be looking pretty solid for a while now..with all our picks and some decent trade assets.

So Grayson's here to stay, nice to get this one resolved before the playoffs started.

Did you mean to sticky this Qwigglez? I guess an extension is worth a sticky for 20 hours. I am going to unsticky now though. I will update thread title..

This move is one of the smartest the team has made in the past five years or so. Let's just hope Ishbia doesn't listen to Isiah Thomas and gets an itch to trade him away.

Yes, much needed and deserved signing. I wasn’t too keen on Grayson joining our team cause of his dirty tactics, but he has been a delight on our team. Can’t wait to watch him play next four seasons on the Suns.

He is our 2024 better shooting, smaller Majerle (hustles and defends but probably not quite at the Majerle level).
