Must win game. Missing Nurk would be tough, he's a good match for Zubac.

It's amazing to me all the timely breaks that we've been catching during these final games of the season! Very typical of the Clippers to sit key players too. But we NEED TO take advantage of these gifts from the basketball gods and crush these teams with their stars/ starters out to make up for all the early games that we squandered and carelessly gave away! Close these key games out! start gathering real momentum no before it's too late! :rocking:

My guess is that on a b2b, they'd rather have their guys for the home game...if they are more sitting them as precautionary/rest.

They need to win a couple since the Mavs are 2 games back and still play Charlotte, Detroit, etc.

We also need the Kings and Lakers to lose. If they Kings win out, they'd catch us and hold the tiebreaker. They'd catch the Pelicans too but the Pelicans swept them. I wonder what would happen in a 3 way tie. If it is combined record in all games between the 3, the Pelicans would get it.

Lakers are 1.5 games back too and have a fairly easy schedule, at least easier than the others.

Our final home game of the regular season...possibly the entire season...hopefully not though. Gotta hold that 6 seed.

So we had the easiest schedule up to the ASB and now with our 'tough' schedule we just keep catching teams missing good players. So we had the easiest schedule in the league this year?

Even when we played tough teams in the beginning of the year it seems they were missing really good players often. We were missing Beal for quite a while though at the beginning, though I guess people do think he sucks.

Too bad we seem to be a team of density, rather than destiny...
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Trap game. We got smoked by the Bucks without Giannis and lost to the Spurs without Wemby (almost impossible to do)

There are no gimmies for this team. We'll see which version shows up

We seem to play decently well against talent but not against heightened effort which you get when a team loses their stars.

This team does have some pieces and talent to get the work done! BUT...................................................

Overall the team is incomplete in terms of full situational/ matchup depth that leaves us open to direct matchup exploitation by the opposition without legitimate counters and we become REACTIVE to what other teams' do instead of just playing consistently to our strengths. This often results in us giving up leads or just even struggling to score and sustain leads throughout the game. And the worst compounding issue is our misplaced sense of arrogance due to name recognition wherein we just assume that we can win by virtue of our big names alone.

We've maintained that mental fragility from the "monty era" wherein when the pressure increases we too often fold, and become passive and careless which has been clearly demonstrated by our current very razor thin margin of error BECAUSE we weren't playing with urgency or professionalism early on and throughout the season, giving up games we should've easily won IF ONLY we showed focus and urgency. I bring this concern up as not only does it result in us carelessly playing down to opposing teams, but as these teams play us in these final stretch of games WITHOUT KEY PLAYERS (stars or starters) it'll give us a false sense of confidence, further feeding that careless arrogance that'll be targeted and exploited in the postseason by high level coaches. And we still might be too mentally fragile to adapt to such unexpected adversity :-?

We play with no urgency, it's been like that all season and frustrating to endure as a fan. But hey, at least KD didn't get hurt so maybe there's a method to the madness.

If there was a time to flip a switch, now would be a good time

Losing the last home game vs a harden/kahwi-less clips team as nearly 10 point favorites would be such a perfect encapsulation of the season....especially if there's a blown 4th quarter involved

We're going to get murdered inside. And considering how we've started, probably from everywhere else as well.

Tonight it's back to the play in for us.
