I don't know. He had a good year stat wise. Can't really pin it all on him. I think we get close, tbh. Some team like NYK will be desperate to get over the hump

I like how Durant told the fans not to give up on them yet, then showed up and laid that absolute turd on all our chests.

statswise, sure.

But he is not a superstar anymore. And HE WILL BE 36 in september. Nobody is giving up that much. Only Kendall Roy was that stupid.

Suggestions on how to replace watching basketball as a leisure activity?

Relax! I knew all season suns were pretenders. The first 5-10 games were very telling most fans saw the writing on the wall. No amount of healthy KD, Beal would have helped us get further in the playoffs. No matter who we faced we lose in 4-5 games.

Yeah the trade proposals where we get back a massive haul and fleece say OKC boggle my mind. He's 36 this off-season, has proven time and again he's a 2nd option at best considering his mindset, a third by now/next season probably.
NO GM is like oh my god we must get KD, he's the missing piece. And there are no other new idiot owners like Ishbia.

It's not about the return. It's about the purging of the cancer and culture.

Get rid of them. Doesn't matter what the return is.

Staring at a wall would be more rewarding than whatever this season was.

NY for me.

I'm rooting for the Mavs. Kyrie has been one of my favorite players, and Suns should have drafted Luka anyway...

Pardon my lurking in these parts, but I don't know why the Mavs & Suns are supposed to hate each other. The Nash & Matrix connection has always made the Suns a team I like if the Mavs aren't in the mix & I was rooting for yall in 21. Your support is welcome & hopefully your team gives you more to smile about in the coming years. We also went up 2-0 in the Finals only to lose and had rough years following. But 5 years later... so you never know. Booker is still young. Surround him with better pieces and a good coach it could be a different story in a few years.

Nah... That chapter is over. He only cares about his shoes, the media attention, he's a playable character in COD, basketball is just his day job.

Yeah, I rooted for the Mavs against the Heat in the Finals. That was a fun team to watch and was reminiscent of the Suns 2010 team where nobody really gave the team a chance. I liked the pieces the Mavs had, with Tyson Chandler having a bounce back year which probably revitalized the 2nd half of his career. Then obviously Marion, Kidd, even Jason Terry who went to college in AZ.

I respect the Mavs for retooling around Luka a couple of times now. I was worried they'd poop the bed and force Luka out after the KP pairing didn't work out. But then you guys made IMO, a very low-risk trade to get Kyrie, and that is clearly paying dividends. Additionally, nabbing PJ Washington and Gafford. Just very savvy, respectable moves. Instead of going star-heavy, the Mavs put perfect complimentary pieces around Luka.

Ishbia tried taking shortcuts. Suns were built well with homegrown Booker, Ayton, Bridges, Cam Johnson. Put the necessary pieces around with CP3, Jae Crowder, Cam Payne. Even Dario Saric and Torrey Craig were instrumental in the Suns 2021 Finals run.
