Yeah, it's going to be a battle for sure.

4th round KO.

He's more tactical than people give him credit for.

He also cuts off the ring really well. Plus he does great work to the body. Unless Lemieux totally catches Golovkin with a Marquez type punch, he's going to get broken down worse than when he lost to Rubio.

Quiet test first round I have for Golovkin.

Second round to Golovkin. Both fighters are starting to open up a little, but Golovkin's jab is keeping Lemieux at bay.

Not sure if I completely agree with the stoppage, but Golovkin systematically broke Lemieux down for 7 rounds and change. He was accurate, he cut off the ring well, his head movement was good...the real knock on him is his overconfidence when he's following up an advantage, but even with Lemieux's power, he did not give a damn. I wouldn't be surprised if he scared off even more opponents.

GGG could have ended right after the KO if he wanted to.

Gonzalez is a savant, I wanto see him vs Inone.

Lemeiux looked like he glanced at the ref for a mercy stoppage before the fight was called. He took a beating tonight. Golovkin's technique is scary good. He doesn't need great defense when he has a chin like that, and bricks for hands.

And Roman Gonzalez is awesome. He's in my top 4 fave boxers. Loma, Choc, Kov and GGG all day.

Incredible performance by Roman Gonzalez, Viloria put up a good fight but Chocolatito was too much for him when all said and done.

As Rich stated, Golovkin just simply broke down Lemieux. Winner of Alvarez/Cotto is the right move, still not sure of Cotto being totally in on the fight though. I think we all know that Alvarez would be down for a fight with Golovkin, he's proven that he's willing to fight whoever so I'm kinda hoping he pulls it off over Cotto.

 watching the presser. Lemieux said that he was surprised, he thought GGG would have more power.

That's why you were looking at the ref instead of keeping your attention on the guy hitting you.

Lemieux was done. GGG controlled him with the jab and hit him with a body shot that made him take a knee.

I understand fighters don't want to be seen as a quitter but Lemieux was done. While Lemieux has the power to make it interesting ...he could have been hurt permanently

Fight last night was pretty lame to be honest, Lemieux was a a huge underdog but he never even had seconds of success. Very little drama minus the body shot and the cheap shot when Lemieux was on the ground.

Choco looks like he's quite clearly the best fighter boxing, resume and talent wise there is no discussion

That's because he tamed him with the jab. He also broke him down with that jab. While the fight didn't live up to the hype, GGG put on a technical display offensively.

Of course but Lemieux brought nothing, guys like Curtis Stevens, Willie Monroe or Kassim Ouma put up better fights. I mean I guess GGG was like a 20-1 favorite on some betting sites but geez. Didn't even understand his gameplan, thought he knew he was going to have to go through fire to work on the inside but once he actually got inside he just tied up and reset back to mid range just to block jabs with his face.

Was like a Wladimir fight minus the clinching, dominant and methodical in the stoppage but not too much to get excited about.

That's okay by me. The minus the clinching part is huge though. I thoroughly enjoyed GGG's display last night. It shows that he's growing up as a fighter and has a higher IQ than people give him credit for. If he sticks with that jab, I don't see any fighter outside of Ward beating him.

Also, Lemieux was expecting GGG to get into shootout with him. He thought wrong and payed dearly for it. He was looking to one that one big punch, and he could never land it because GGG kept him at bay with that jab.

Good stoppage from Weeks. Jean had pretty much nothing left in the tank by the 10th. Another solid performance by Crawford, who was still annoyed by Jean's team.

Fairly dominant from Crawford, which wasn't much of a surprise. Crawford looks like he'll be Manny Pacquiao's final opponent in April.

Timothy Bradley faces off with Brandon Rios tomorrow night on HBO from Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Lomachenko on the undercard. Rios came in .2 lbs over the weight limit but did make it on his second attempt. Bradley weighed in at 146.

Lampley brought up a hilarious point. If that's how Atlas is when Bradley's dominating, what the hell would he be like if Bradley is losing?
