Serious question, is he trying to get cut? He's never missed weight, and during his cut he is doing media scrums about CM Punk? wtf.

Rants about cm punk, rants about reebok, tweeting pics of middle fingers to reebok lol. Badly missing weight, etc. Does he want to leave? I know he's still on the same contract he negotiated.

He was also talking just yesterday about how he's going to beat Pettis ass. May as well be talking about whooping Brock Lesnar's a$$ because those fights are equally likely at this point.

edit: I also think he no-showed some other media event earlier this week.

I'll be watching this, but I feel kind of icky doing so.

Ya, I hear ya. HW MMA - either carnage or boring. There's not much upside to it long-term from the thinking fan's perspective.

The good news is that JDS probably overmatches Stipe, although that perception could be off because of an assumption that he's nearly the same guy after a 2nd destruction by Cain. He could be a shell of himself at this point. In which case, tonight will be rough.

Whoever comes out the loser between Overeem and Struve, it will in all likelihood be rough. Best case scenario is Struve jumps guard for an armbar. My prediction is Overeem re-breaks Struve's jaw though. Both these guys fights really are tough to call. They're almost all offense and have been near or achieved a lot of huge wins, but ultimately lost a good majority of those.

At some point commissions need to step in and not clear some of these guys to fight. You know most promotions like UFC won't do it because it takes time and usually wars to build a fighter's name they can sell.

I love him unabashedly flexing after his weight is announced, with that little midget Joe Silva looking on angrily in the background. Really, this is good for nobody. I guess he's trying to get released to Bellator to enter the loving embrace of his manager and their new matchmaker Mike Kogan. But even if he misses workout sessions and weight, he's still a value for UFC as a draw on the cheap. He's only really hurting himself by lowering his bank balance even further.

I guess I gotta root for RDA now. If Nate wins, he likely won't qualify for a title shot due to missing weight, and I wanted the winner of this fight to accommodate a quick turnaround for the lw title.

Lol at telling Struve to close his hands on defense (he wasn't even throwing). I'm convinced Fat John doesn't have the ability to ref a fight without hearing his own voice every 10 seconds.
