!!

No ****. Ha. Looking into this...

I can't find anything although I thought they talked about it during the Corey Anderson fight. Looking at fightmetric, the ufc leaders for significant strikes absorbed per minute are under 1, whereas he is at 5.81(!) significant strikes absorbed per minute. For comparison sake for the caliber of guy he is fighting...Anderson (2.42/min); Lawlor (2.18/min); Perosh (3.65/min).

On what planet did this "Holm has no power" thing start?

Yes, she doesn't knock people out with her hands, never really has.

But the first time (and second time) I ever saw a woman in MMA lose consciousness from a single strike was from a Holly kick. C'mon dudes. Very, very, very few WMMAists have this kind of power. She ain't ready, but c'mon, that kick takes out a charging bison.

Letourneau looked in pretty bad shape after the weigh-in. Cute French-Canadian mother of young child in there with that psycho, I don't know how I feel about it.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Well, despite the undercard not being the best, I'm in.

That finish by Moontasri was sweet. Spinning back kick to the body to spinning back elbow (probably unneccessary).

Anybody know this guy's story? Has a German flag, is talking (in kind of a weird voice/accent) about doing Taekwondo in the US, and has a Korean tattoo that would appear to be his (or someone else's) name.

I think this will be Rousey's most competitive fight since Meisha II. I don't think Bethe is a legitimate fighter and even Zingano had me questioning it after that ridiculous display in that fight.

That said, I think the "no power" thing is because she won't have the power in her hands to keep Ronda from closing the distance. Her one and only chance is to keep the fight at range, and Ronda has shown she is more than willing to eat a punch to clinch. I'm not sure if Holm has the power to make her pay. Her kicks are awesome, but can she keep Ronda at bay enough to utilize them? They won't be her much good from the clinch.

Maybe, Holm only needs to last a 1:07 to get passed McCann for Rousey's longest fight since then, depends how fast (and/or successfully) Rousey goes for a takedown.

Zingano is a good fighter, who did something really stupid. Bethe's not very good, of her UFC wins 2 came against fighters that probably should have already been retired, and the other's best achievement is making the TUF quarterfinals.

I think Zingano WAS good. Don't think she is the same fighter after her long layoff / injury woes / husband tragedy. She was getting beat up by Nunes as well until Nunes ErickSilva'd that fight away.

I had forgotten about the McMann fight tbh. I was thinking it was Bethe/Zingano/Davis since Meisha II.

That seems like an unneccessary concussion for Perosh, especially when it was a foregone conclusion when the fight was signed.

Didn't catch it earlier, but just saw Benoit (the dude who cheapshotted Sergio after the stoppage in his last fight) take some big shots then get finished. Pretty happy with that nice little bit of karma.

Would it be crazy to place a bet on both underdogs in the main/co-main? I in no way think they are going to win, it's just that the odds are so high, and often when we have two title fights on one card, something weird happens in one of them. They aren't usually both -2000 favourites though.

I heard on the Sherdog roundtable podcast that prop bets for Rousey by sub and JJ by KO are relatively cheap. In the -200 range. Seems like the way to go unless you're taking a flier on the dogs.

Event has been pretty underwhelming since that spinning **** KO early on.

Mark Laimon losing his **** is moderately entertaining though.

Good decision by the UFC to put an exciting fighter like Rosholt to open the ppv. Really get the crowd into it and set the tone.

You'd basically be betting for a freak injury, IMO.

Just checked, the odds have really come down at most places, I wouldn't play the underdogs.

I was reading on twitter that a lot of money started coming in on Holm today.
