As much as I love this main event, there just isn't enough good stuff elsewhere on the card to make it worth spending any money on. At least not for me.

Miocic and Arlovski are at least mobile, technical stand-up guys for heavyweights. Although they are cautious, and not that diverse. That fight could be anywhere from solid to boring.

Tumenov-Larkin is a sick stand-up battle. Larkin is going to try a bunch of crazy stuff, and Tumenov will probably catch him with his awesome timing, then put a flurry of punches and kicks in combo all over him. Should be fun.

Ortega is one of the best bjj prospects in MMA. The sheen might have come off a little for you with the positive test, but regardless he's a super technical, creativity, fun fighter who is always trying to finish.

Poirier-Duffy is on FP. Either they're trying to lower Poirier's value in free agency or really trying to sell subscriptions for FP ahead of their move there. Gotta figure they'd just move to ESPN soon after though with mainstreaming the sport thru Ronda, Conor, and the like. That's the relationship that has the most realistic potential since ESPN's normal market is close to UFC's target, and they pull over network #'s from football.

I actually think I'd be more likely to watch the ppv if Poirier/Duffy was on the main card along with the HW fight and the WW fight. Guys like Larkin and Ortega are fun but are definitely more suited to fs1 at this point imo.

Wonder how much wrestling will be part of Lawler's game plan.

lol Sotto was clowning Tanaka there, but that was a really good showing. The fight pass and the rest of the undercard looks a lot better than the main card (Lawler-Condit title match aside).

But Sotto won that fight, tough call.

That was a decent 1st match/fight. Over a bit more quickly then I anticipated though!

I didn't see the fight, but I was surprised when Duffy was a favorite over Poirier the first time. For him to have still been a decent favorite after a recent concussion, just doesn't make any sense.

tumenov is going to be a champion some day. book it.

He still has some glaring holes in his game, but I've been very impressed with his last two showings. I see why he's a highly touted prospect.

Not only that, but Poirer is much better fighting at 155.
