The development names are terrible. I'm gripped with fear whenever I hear the name Konnor. He might not use a coaster if I invite him over.

My favorite is Slate Randall. If that's not an eighties porn star name, nothing is.

rumor has it Zayn and the Ascension are next to come up after Bo Dallas and Adam Rose. Wonder how they're bringing Sami in.

Starting watching last night's episode on my lunch break. I feel like NXT gets better every week.

That HHH vision speaks to a brighter future for the company in general.

Feel like this is as good a place as any to mention this since they'd likely be first seen in NXT. Anyway, Chris Sabin is, by all indications, soon to be gone from TNA. I'm not going out on too much of a limb when I say I don't think WWE would have any interest in Sabin as an individual but I'm wondering if they'd feel the same way about the Motor City Machine Guns. If I were to make a completely uneducated guess I'd say there interest there would increase only very slightly and if that's the case its really a shame.

Even when the tag division was stronger six months ago I said that I thought the division's strength was a mile-wide and an inch-deep because so many of the teams were probably going to be short term and that's proven to be the case especially now since the Rhodes Brothers look like they're going to be done very, very soon. Ryback and Curtis Axel are basically now by default the number 2 tag team because everyone else with any credibility has broken up. The only other two teams are the undercard comedy acts of 3MB and Los Matadores. And The Ascension whom personally I think kinda suck are the only real team in NXT (I know that team of Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger had a match last week but they've wrestled all of one match together.)

And comparing the Machine Guns to the other 5 tag teams in WWE(excluding the Rhodes Brothers), they could have great matches with The Uso's. But the other 4, forget being in the same league they're not even playing the same sport.

as much as i would love for this to happen they have the main title on a cruiserweight already technically so i don't see them bringing Sami in as king of the little guys when the guy holding the heavyweight title is a little guy himself.

not to mention, even smaller than Zayn.

In other news, I won't be able to catch NXT live tomorrow night because I'll be at Cracker's Comedy Club seeing Mick Foley perform. Hopefully he does a good show. I honestly know nothing about his stand-up routine. I just saw he was coming here a couple months and decided I wasn't going to miss it.

can WWE think of renaming that division? Cruiserweights = high flying acts for me so probably "High Risk Champion"? 'cause if they'll stay pure with the weight criteria then it's impossible to revive and doesn't make any sense as you have mentioned that they have a cruiserweight WWE WHC champ.

We don't need a cruiserweight title, we just need a workers title. Dedicate a title to a group of wrestlers who consistently put on good matches and give them time. That's where the cruiserweights can go.

the idea is left field, but I always thought an angle where a guy brings back the hardcore title and claims himself as the champion but doesn't classify hardcore in the traditional sense. He'll call himself a hardcore wrestler in the sense that he's a fantastic wrestler, that no one can out wrestle him. He's not a "hardcore" wrestler in the violence sense but he's hardcore about wrestling about being the best in the ring.

Put it on a great worker and have him feud with other great workers.

The following matches are scheduled to take place at the NXT Takeover special, which will air live on the WWE Network on May 29th at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

NXT Championship
- Adrian Neville (c) vs. Tyson Kidd

NXT Women's Championship
- Charlotte vs. Natalya

Number One Contender Match

The first two matches were announced during the NXT television tapings, which took place on Thursday night. The number one contender bout was not yet officially announced, but is listed on the event poster.

I am excited, the last live NXT special was amazing.

The Neville/Kidd match is going to be high spots galore. I wish I had a reason to root for Kidd, because he is really good in the ring, but I just can't get past the impression I got of him on the Divas show. He has a very punchable face and acts like an annoying little p-whipped chump.

So Charlotte is obviously going to be the next Women's champ. Honestly, she's not ready for that role. Sasha Banks would have been a much better option.

Yeah she is not ready. Sasha Banks is plenty deserving and Charlotte is probably getting the nod because of her family, I do think she has improved quite a bit in a short amount of time though.

For quite a while I have thought that the Ascension are not much more than their gimmick, and that the lack of actual ability would prevent them from being anything on the main roster, but the 6 man tag from this weeks episode, Ascension and Corey Graves vs Usos and Sami Zahn gave me a little hope. It's not like they shined or anything, but they showed they could work an extended tag team match and look passable doing it. I've changed my opinion from "they will flop" to "they could be a decent addition to a weak tag team division".
