On the plus side, it did definitely feel different than the way your typical show ends and it made you forget about the worst part of Raw which was Stephanie's ball busting of New Day. Just as an aside, segments like that illustrate why The Authority is so bad. She's in total ball buster mode and they don't respond and will never get to one-up her and are just made to look bad. But the way the show ended made you largely forget about that segment.
In terms of groups that they'd try to elevate New Day may have been the best option because they are pretty over. But it just seemed weird in a few ways. Maybe they'll drop the dancing and the trombone in the coming weeks but having these goofy comedy heels laying out a top tag team and Cena, there's a disconnect there.
Nah New Day is great just how they are . Love the comedy heel act.
Honestly raw has not been this bad since the mid/late 2000s. I really could care less for any of it other than Brock (who is part time), Owens and New Day. (I want Sasha to win the belt then I will care about the women's division).
They have made a mockery out of Seth's title reign having him job to Cena so many times. That I don't even care anymore.
I really liked what they did last night with New Day. They're still funny, BUT now they have a nasty edge to them. Nobody can laugh them off anymore. I see Xavier Woods pulling away as the clear leader of the group. It's not just his constant yapping. He's got a charisma about him - I'd have him turning from harmless funny guy to the meanest of them - like a cruel clown, and I get the feeling from last night that that's going to happen.
