Predict the WrestleMania card

Post#1 » by Mich3006 » Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:33 am

Super ShowDown was (once again) awful but at least we saw a few directions WWE will go for WrestleMania.
Which matches do you think will happen (rumor has it there´ll be 14 matches)?

My takes (I can´t see the storylines for Aleister Black and Ricochet though):
Universal championship: Goldberg vs Reigns ( :banghead: )

WWE championship: Lesnar vs McIntyre

Intercontinental championship: Strowman vs Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan

Smackdown Women´s championship: Bayley vs Sasha Banks

Raw Women´s championship: Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler

NXT Women´s championship: Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte

Smackdown Tag Team championship - Ladder Match: Dirt Sheet vs New Day vs Roode/Ziggler vs Usos

US championship: Andrade vs Carrillo vs Garza vs Rey Mysterio

Edge vs Orton (**Update**)

John Cena vs The Fiend

Street Fight: Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens

AJ Styles vs Undertaker

Women´s Battle Royal

Andre the Giant Battle Royal

You forgot Edge vs. Orton...

I also think Hogan will be the manager or in the corner of Cena and have a stare down or some kind
of confrontation with the Fiend.

Can't argue with most matches already listed.
The Intercontinental Championship match should be something else though. Maybe Bryan could be involved.
RAW Tag Team Championship match could be AOP vs Viking Raiders.

US Championship match is going to be match of the night, potentially match of the year.

After the saudia arbia i am still not in wrestlemania mood. This show was so atrocious. And even when you ignore this, the perception isn't still better.
Only (very) good matches at wrestlemania can save wrestlemania itself.

I predict the card will look okay on paper but will generally suck outside of a couple of matches.

Meltzer is reporting Ziggler vs. Otis and Kabooki Warriors vs. Natalya and Beth

They really should split up WM into 2 days like Wrestle Kingdom

That would be s**** to host such an event over two days. Trust me, the quality wouldn't be better even if WM is on two days.

Even as a fan I don't think I can sit and watch a 6-8 hour PPV. I might have to watch half avoid spoilers and
watch the other half the next day. I did that with Super Showdown just not enough time in the day.

Figures that the year I pull the trigger on a bucket list item and finally go to mania I get a global pandemic and the worst card in decades. :banghead:

ok, sry, thx.
In yesterday's episode of smackdown, there was the teaser for the The Fiend vs. Cena-match. so stupid!
what did wwe think? another loss for bray wyatt? i hardly can't imagine that cena will only come back for a loss. surely, he gets a lot of money for that appearance, but nethertheless he is a favorite of vince.

The idea of Cena and Wyatt did nothing for me, until I watched that promo last night. Tremendous delivery by Cena, then the show of respect between the two after the Fiend’s lights out gimmick. Really really well done.

To me, only the street fight between Owens and Rollins could be interesting.

I do have tickets for raw after mania, which is always a more fun show with surprises, call ups, etc. Would love to see Goldberg or Lesnar retain in a shocker only to have Riddle debut the next night and lay them out.
