I'm not a beer drinker, but I hear enough to know Oregon has to be in the upper echelon. Hard cider with a shot of Fireball ... now we're talkin!!!

everyone is on the fireball fad. I give it till the end of the year before everyone realizes its gut rot loaded with suger and spice.

the beer, oh I live the beer here. everyday I go to the new seasons by my work and get a different bottle. some are good some actually sent that great. some are effing AMAZING.

I hate to prop a California beer, but everyone go buy "hell or high watermelon" its a beer from san fran that use watermelon juice in lieu of water. only 4.9% but it's like drinking angels.

West coast absolutely dominated this thing, I mean Oregon and California #1 and 2 respectively, Washington with the #5.

The rest of the country better get on our level if they want to even compete.

having been to the southeast, and currently living in Nevada (24th nationally in craft breweries per capita, yet ranked 47th?!), I can say that outside of Oregon, California, and Colorado being ranked #1/#2/#3 respectively, the list is more or less crap. not that I could accurately rank all 50 states - that would require a lot of research as I'm pretty sure the local alcohol distributors do not have anything from Wyoming, Ohio, etc.

The #1 ranking is good but I like the small breweries that are not mentioned in discussions like this. There is something great about drinking a beer some guy crafted in a space the size of a garage and he did everything himself including pouring it into your glass.
