New Moderators

RealGM Portland Trail Blazers Users,

I would like to announce the additions of two new Moderators on this forum.

Lately, the schedules of the current Moderator crew Senior Moderator Billy and Moderators DaVoiceMaster, mojomarc and The Sebastian Express have given them less time for the forums.

So, myself and The Blazers Moderators got together and decided that we would add two Moderators to The Forum.

After getting feedback from The Blazers Moderators, I then conducted my own search to find two Moderators.

It was a through process that started with over 10 Users. There were many good Users considered and it shows that there is a good bench on this forum should another vacancy arise.

However, it was essential for me to get two very active Users who could be, Leaders, start discussions, bring more people to the forum and follow the Forum Rules not only on The Blazers Forum but on all RealGM Forums. I also kept in mind the tough time that hopefully will not be ahead for all of you with the speculation surrounding LaMarcus Aldridge. For the record, I think he'd be making a mistake by leaving Portland.

In the end, I decided that DeBlazerRiddem and Moonbeam best checked all of the above boxes.

DeBlazerRiddem is someone who also participates often on our NBA Trades and Transactions Forum and NBA Draft Forums. He has a ton of General NBA knowledge and believe it will benefit this forum to have a Moderator that is active in so many places by bringing General Users to The Blazers Forum.

Moonbeam is a real life PhD in statistics. His Season Grades series really caught my eye and I am sure he will come up with some other wonderful thread ideas.

I am confident both will do a fantastic job as Moderators.

Congrats to both guys.

DBR has been a long time solid contributor to the Trades & Transactions board and always brings a strong (but not homer) Blazers perspective to the board. Well deserved honor for him.

And Moonbeam is one of my favorite posters over on the Player Comparison board. Knows his stuff obviously and always very pleasant to interact with (even when he has to explain the error in my thinking).

Your board has been lucky to have them as posters and 2 great additions to a great Blazers Mod Team.

Srsly tho, let me say "thanks" for doing what is probably mostly a thankless job.

Thanks, everyone! I'll do my best to contribute to this being my favorite place to chat about the Blazers. I just hope my career as a moderator goes more like a Jerome Kersey than a Ha Seung-jin!

We did have a poster with the username benefit at one time, didn't we? Maybe it's more accurate to say that we had benefit? Where did he go?

I heard that the moderators would welcome new ones with an acapella version of "Bust a Bucket", but I have yet to be sent any links. :-?
