Good interview with former GM Bob Whitsitt. He talks about what it was like to trade Clyde Drexler. There are some similar parallels to what is going on with Dame currently. He also talks about the Jail Blazers years, dealing with JR Rider and Jermaine O'Neal.

ESPN is reporting Walter Davis has died of natural causes.

I remember him all too well from those great Suns/Nuggets teams in the 80's and
he played in Portland on the Drexler teams at the tail end of his career. The greyhound
could play

IDK about anybody else, but have absolutely ZERO interest in the in-season tournament. Does it make Nov/Dec games more competitive? Probably. But it still only generates interest for fans of the good teams. I have no interest in watching an in-season Finals for money and bragging rights between two high PO teams.

To expand it's market the NBA needs to generate interest for fans of bad teams and small market cities, not good teams and big cities.
