I'm not a fan of all these conspiracy theories.
Looking at the tape again, Chauncy asked for the time out as Brogdon was beginning his double-dribble, and while the ref's back was to Chauncy. It stands to reason he missed that request. And while the double technical was over the top for Billups reaction, it can be justified. Next time, don't grab the ref by the arm, and when you get a tech, back off, rather than charge on to the floor. I've never seen a ref being persuaded by either of those actions.

Brogdon is our most experienced player, and should have called the TO himself. Chauncey should have known not to overreact.
