I don't know if you've heard, but the city of Detroit is especially hard up during this economic crisis, so it is conceivable the Pistons would like to unload their big contracts and get Raef's insurance contract. The Pistons are rebuilding, we make this deal and they rebuild with Outlaw, Batum and Stuckey, but shave $45 million off their payroll.

I don't know how you don't think he deserves that kind of money, but his production goes far beyond stats. He's a defensive master and would really be a nice fit for the Blazers. Granted, DET may be willing to trade him depending on if they want to completely rebuild or not, but I'd say his respectable offensive production and very good defensive production make him more than worth his contract.

Let me see take a player who can shut down to really slow down 2 and 3 and maybe some 4's and score 10 to 15 a night in Prince.

OR

Keep Outlaw who may score 15 to 20 on a lot of nights but allows the players he is guarding to score the same as him if not more and other things.

Is this really even a discussion of course this is assuming Detroit would even consider trading the Blazers Prince without the Blazers having to give up one of it's Top 3 to 4 pieces. However IF i had to choose i would take Prince EVERY single day of the week without a doubt.

I would absolutley LOVE to get Sheed and Tay.

I would deal Outlaw, RLEC, Serio or Blake, Batum or Webster and a 1st for Tay and Sheed.

Hey.

As much as I wish that something would happen, don't believe any of these BS insiders. All summer long a bunch of posters infiltrated our boards that just SWORE that we were gonna get Josh Smith; Artest to Detroit was imminent; maybe Biedrens was on the horizon; Carmelo, etc...

At the most, it's probably just something to keep in mind. Prince would make a good Blazer

Who cares if he has any actual source. Its not like we are wagering money on a deal or not. Just fun to speculate.

Surprisingly enough, the Pistons are actually relatively insularized from the economic issues in Detroit and are still doing reasonably well for the time being, so I'd be surprised if we dumped someone like Tay in a simple salary dump.

I see no reason whatever to believe theres anything to this. We don't have much of a reason to trade Sheed unless were getting something better than him back (as he's already expiring), and I don't know if the Blazers would really want him back anyway. Tay would command something considerable back, though.

I would tend to think that the Pistons are more likely to trade Hamilton or AI rather than Prince.

The guy said nothing about a salary dump but I've always thought we could do
business with the Pistons for while I've always thought Prince would be the
perfect player for a young Blazers team, it's going to come at a heavy price.
Remember though, Detroit needs and wants young guys to compliment Stuckey
starting with a young PF and would need a SF back to replace Prince.

I've always liked Prince and a while back advocated an LA for Prince deal. That
will certainly not be on the table but anything but Oden, Roy and LA is on
the table. Name your price...

Prince was born for this current culture, this team. Seems too good to be true, so I'll go back to expecting no trades, that way I'll be happy when we trade Shavlik for Taurean Green.

You guys are dumb as hell for thinking we'd trade for Sheed.

I could see a three way trade with New Orleans, Portland, and Detroit.

Detroit gets Batum, Chandler, RLEC

Portland gets Prince, Posey, and Danials

New Orleans gets Webster, Wallace, Blake

It would take some tweaking though, but these would be the principle players.

I really hope this is true. I've always advocated attaining Prince. The guy would be just perfect. Great defender, can stretch the defenses, doesn't have to have the ball in his hands, is that veteran we are looking for who has not only experience but successful playoff experience. And to top it off he would still be at the top of his game when we are going for our playoff run in a few years. As long as the big three are not involved, pull the trigger.

I think someone is using the "trade juices" to have a little fun with us.

That would leaves us with Bayless and Sergio as our PG's for a playoff run for I've never thought of Daniels as a PG. Detroit would do well to get Chandler and Batum along with Raef's contract but I don't know how Blake would fit with CP3 on the team and I don't know if NO would want an a guy who has not played this season. The gist of the trade Prince to Portland, Wallace to NO and Chandler to Detroit has real merit.

Detroit gets Amare, Admundson

Phoenix gets RLEC, Outlaw, Sergio

Portland gets Prince, Kwame, Fabio (Herrmann), Tucker

yeah, Phoenix would looooove that trade...... oh well, it's the best I could do on short notice.

If there is any truth at all to this rumor I am 99.9% certain it would include a 3rd team, since the Pistons don't need RLEC as much as some other teams would, coupled with the fact that they will be looking for a great young PF or C in return.
