Exactly why would we be in the market to trade him at this point?

The only thing that makes me sick is that if we would have lost to the Wolves, we would have been tied for 6th. Boo.

If Ben manages to shoot the ball well from downtown he'll be a very valuable player for this team.

That's all we need. Hit your open 3's. I don't even expect him to develop any sort of defensive or offensive game beyond that for next year.

Just do what you were drafted to do, and hit those damn wide open 3s in a close to 40% clip. That's all we need, nothing more.

Yeah that's really annoying. A world of difference.

Your bench is terrible on both ends of the court but especially on defense, they couldn't get any stop in the 4th.

Not worried, we have another year to get a core going, all that trash will expire. Its 15-16 for us.

You wouldn't happen to need say Carl Landry would you?

They were clutch in the 4th, definitely.

I really hope they bring back both Acy and Gray. They're solid pros and can be counted on when needed.

Kinda surprised that nobody has mentioned that this is the first time in three years that we've gone into the offseason with the fate of the franchise in Sacramento totally not up in the air.

I hope Ben approaches this offseason with hunger and comes back a beast next season. 37% FG% and 32% 3PT% is not going to cut it. Especially for a guy getting Ray Allen comparisons out of college. I see the potential though.

Harden averaged 9.9 ppg on 40.3% shooting his rookie year. T-mac averaged 7 points his rookie year. Ginobili averaged 7.6 points his rookie year. Joe Johnson averaged less than 10 points his first three years; so did Jamal Crawford; so did Arron Affalo. Kevin Martin averaged 2.9 points his rookie year and 10.8 his sophomore year. It takes time at the SG position. But he has to work. And the FO has to stay invested in him.

I think Ben is a lot more closer to a Gerald Green type of player than a Ray Allen, well at least, from what he has done in his first year in the NBA.

That said, the encouraging thing I see is his awareness of passing the ball. There is some "play-making genes" in him, IMO. Throughout the year, he made passes that I didn't expect from him. He also crashes the boards a lot more than the typical 2-guard. His defense is still a concern but that will get better as he matures.

If Ben puts up the numbers similar to Gerald Green's (15.8 ppg/3.4 rpg/1.5 apg // 44.5% FG/40% 3PT/85% FT) next year, that's a successful soph year in my eyes, IMO.
