Not happy about signing Luc at all. I'll take Josh Smith and Matt Bonner, but WHY LUC?

Bonner is 34 and is pretty worthless on defense at this point. He still can shoot the 3 and that is what has kept him around this long. should go into coaching.

I think either we weren't offering Smith enough or didn't have enough to offer. I think he goes back to HOU in the end.

Luc is the best of what we were looking for. 6'8 230 28yo. Can can defend 3-5 and plays good pick and role defense. Shot over 200 3's last yr @ over 30%. Can play pass without too many turnovers and steal and defend without overly fouling. Is a great locker room guy. Great pick up for the end of the rotation.

So it looks like Omri and Luc will be signed with cap space seeing the order they were signed. So we still have the exception to use. Looks like we have one more player, maybe two, to add. Depending on the amount of Luc's contract, we could have between 2.5mil and 500k left in space and then the exception (2.8mil over 2yrs).

He just signed a 3yr 7.5mil contract in China in Mar.

Just read that after posting. I know it's China but he put up ridiculous numbers. He's apparently a goof ball and went to China because he can play "his style" jacking up shots and for more money. He's only making $2.5 per year. Our $2.8 (which isn't very much) would've beat that and he's talented enough to start at PF for us. Oh well.

And cuz he wouldn't get 2.5mil in the league. He learned that in 2014 when he opted out to become a FA and had no taker and signed in China for 1yr 2.5. Being a proven knuckle head will hurt your checkbook unless you have years of superior talent and production. He only had 1-1.5 season where he opened eyes with his talent. The others were disappointments due to attitude and maturity. Go to the Wizards board, they'll let you know about him. Sad cuz he does have talent like you said.

Was this after they signed Luc? I think Luc kinda fills the stretch 4 role but they could be looking for another one.

From what I've seen in the summer league, I think Dukan should get a serious look in camp. He looks like a player. Can learn from Rudy, Omri and Peja.
