Thanks ESPN for showing about 10 seconds of Peja's jersey retirement. Worldwide leader in bull.

OKC is also worse without Durant..point being most teams are worse without their top player, particularly when he is the focal point of your attack. Obviously, there would be an adjustment period - that's to be expected.

I'm curious though, what changed in season vs. last off season?

Edit: think of it this way, the coach and GM probably interact most in the offseason when the team retains or decides not to retain players etc. That would be an opportune time to decide that the coach and GM are not on the same page, no?

Kings have had terrible assist numbers and shooting numbers from 3. You can put some of that on the players, but there has been little to no offensive sophistication ever with Malone.

Yes, but there was a season before this with the same coach. Also, you have some very strong 'ad lib' players like Cousins and Gay on the roster. Gay in particular is all about creating his own shot and previously had difficulty fitting in more elaborate offensive schemes - see Grizz. I think some of the personnel fit that style. Doesn't mean they should seem ill prepared as you are saying.

I just think that something had to be going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of.

I personally think PDA and Co. Wanted him gone the entire time, but it wasn't right from a PR perspective to fire him before. But that is opinion

May be true, but now it seems like he definitely wasn't given a chance - firing him while Cousins is out.

Something else that caught my ear from the Vivek interview is a free flowing offense is not the same as a get out and run team.

If it is ad lib, tell me something offensively they have been doing well without Cousins on the floor.

Collison is hurting his team this game. He is not setting up his teammates, he is taking ill-advised shots, and he has been making bad decisions turning the ball over. What does Ray have to do to get minutes.

Offense looks like trash. Collison doesn't even try to score. I like that he defers sometimes but I'd like to see him attack the basket more. Regardless this offense looks really bad no movement at all

Wait, really? Our O has been great, if anything our D has suffered when the starters are out

Starters have been painful to watch at times on O

Crap, I harkened back to times of Jazz fans complaining about Corbin leaving his bench in way too long. Then I realized that's our reality now. :banghead:

My nightmare was that the fans would come out dead, and so would the team.

After what has happened recently, glad to see them come back and have some vigor tonight.

Great? Settling for contested Landry mid range jumpers? running the offense through Evans? I'm sorry but its been far from great.
