Kings (8-5) @ Pelicans (7-7)

Post#1 » by blind prophet » Thu Nov 23, 2023 12:05 am

CJ out for NO again

For us a lot of GTD

Ellis & Len out for sure.

GTD list

Duarte
Sasha
Keegan
Lyles!! Maybe he finally comes back tonight

Vegas has the Pelicans favored by 1.5, which is interesting as we were favored last game.

Today's game question

Was Zion's play a fluke? Will he rest tonight?

But the question is how would you want the Kings to try and contain him this time around.

For me I don't really care a whole lot about a win tonight, but do care about 2 things.

1. Don't get any more nagging injuries
2. Be competitive

If we get blown out again I may get a little concerned.

I am hoping for a win, but do not expect it. Not sure Zion should be called for more charges, but the Pels are at home. Need any contribution from Barnes and Huerter. Be nice to see Lyles back, and we will need his size in Minnesota also, so hope he gets some minutes.

Just want a better effort than Tuesday.

Huerter gave a tough screen on Valenciunis, like shoved him a bit, then Sabonis did the same for a board.

Hopefully the refs let them play. Reminds me of 80-90's ball.

Barnes going to get beat up tonight between some Valenciunis coverage & lots of Zion.

Bright start being obliterated by sloppy play from the bench

Well the length of Lyles didn't matter on his first coverage of Zion.

Zeller is not a bad role player, reminds me of a faster more athletic version of Rambis.

Well JaVale just used up his 1 Shaqtin get out of jail for free card.

That was hilariously bad of an inbound.

Now no more please.

Fox got away with a minor jump on the inbound, lucky.

McGee -11 in 2 minutes, while giving the pelicans in the momentum of the game

thats a stint that gets you moved. dont want to see much of him. the tools on the broadcast were incredulous as to why it didn't work with him in dallas?

the rest of the bench were garbage and Sasha hasn't been as advertised since arriving either.

luckily we are recovering here

Len going down was a major blow. McGee is.. but Sasha hasn't gotten it done, and hasn't been as advertised either

It only took me a moment to see something seemed off with Sasha tonight. But when he is rolling he has seemed capable offensively. Just not tonight.

Honestly I'm not a major fan of our center rotation or reserves. JaVale can rim protect, fast of feet, lob threat. Len tough but slow.

Watching Zeller these past two games a Rambis sort of guy may be better than either of them.

Sabonis did foul Valenciunis but come on, let the big fellas play a bit. Nobody buys a ticket to the game to get those tic tak calls.

If things go bad I won't be surprised if Brown gets ejected tonight.

Pels length is just a problem for us.
