Kings (42-29) vs Dallas (42-29)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:57 pm

Huge game tonight for the race to make the playoffs. Both teams are on the second night of a b2b though we probably have the advantage given Dallas is travelling in from Utah and Luka played 41 minutes last night. If we can sweep these next two games, I'll be a whole lot more confident about avoiding the play in, giving us a 2 game cushion with 9 games remaining.

Let's handle business and light the beam!

If we sweep both, I think we have a nontrivial chance of moving above 6th... not sure if that is what we want if it means matching against the Pelicans.

The boys need to be locked in like its a playoff game. If they want any chance at sliding up to HC advantage, they need both of these

Agreed.

Would be highly disappointing if they came in flat for this one.

Game is on TNT too so we need to put on a show for the national audience.

We really need Malik to get it going tonight. Dallas has Derrick Jones all over Fox for 94 feet.

The bench is once again not getting it done. Malik 1/7 from the field, really need him to step it up.

Left a lot of points out there.
Not sure why they're not targeting Luka. Can't run and doesn't like to defend at the best of times. Should have been trying to wear him down.

Luka ia really a talented player, but it amazes how a slow fat guy gets away with so much from the refs. Thanks again, Vlade.

Dallas is a really smart well coached team. Their style fits play off basketball. Kings have a lot of growing up to do, and nights like tonight show how poor our depth of talent is.

Game is a real data point for Keon, as well as Barnes, who rarely makes any impact these days. Lyles and Sasha would compete better in this game.

The Kings got punked on national television.

They fell apart in the second half.

When Luka and Irving are hitting their shots and their role players play well, the Mavs are extremely hard to beat.

Well, we kinda did, right? The freak show of a team that wins 60% of their games yet occasionally loses by 30+ at home.

I mean, most girls who want to become models wouldn't be happy if they end up being used as a demonstration of medical abnormalities.
