Derrick Rose Rounding Into Form

Post#1 » by cmd1985 » Thu Jan 31, 2008 5:37 pm

What do you all think about Derrick Rose so far now a month or so ago there we're many who thought he is really good and others who thought he was average to mediocre. Anyways his highlights against Gonzaga showed the skill set to why many think he will be a top flight PG-Check it out! The crossover at 30 seconds and the tip at 51 are ill

I think he has stepped up his game, he looks a lot better than he did at the beginning of the year

He definitely has been playing like a monster as of late. True point.

We at DX took a very extensive look at him based on that Gonzaga game and his season as a whole here:

Basically my sentiments, I think with a pick and roll Rose will be deadly and put up big assist numbers! Something they never run at Memphis. I'm not sure what team in league I can see him fitting in with outside of Seattle and Miami. I'm also not sure that there is a true player comparison for him, I just think he may be the first Derrick Rose. What do you all think? I've heard quite a few

D.Wade
J.Kidd
C.Billups
Kirk Hinrich (More Athletic)
Antonio Daniels
Baron Davis

I watched this guy in HS, he has the same type of mentality that LeBron has, where he has no problem giving assists to win. He can score 20 or drop 20 dimes I swear.

He seems like a complete player that can do whatever is needed to get the job done. He is playing on a great team so he does not need to have those crazy high stats like good players on bad teams do. I really want the Knicks to get this guy if we can draft high enough.

I think his risk to reward is the highest of anyone in the draft.

Jay Williams II. Great athleticism, overrated skills. Good prospect, but he's no Chris Paul.

He's significantly taller, quicker, and faster than Jay Williams was. The skills are coming. He has a much bigger upside.

That A/to ratio is a bit disturbing for a PG that has been compared to the likes of Kidd.

He's looked great in that Gonzaga game, though.
