If I am Boston and I end up 4th I'd just roll with Rabb, perfect big for Stevens.

Just as a frame of reference, here is a little list of great college guards who were known for their size, athleticism and ability to play both sides of the ball:

Dunn didn't have a stunning line tonight (13/5/14, on ten fga with 4 steals) but he looked pretty masterful against a top-5 Nova team. Got to any spot he wanted to, set the tempo, tore through the different defensive looks they gave him, shot well. He was playing against a zone so didn't get to drive straight to the rack much, but he was very impressive in getting past one guy and waiting for the D to react, then finding the open man at the rim or on the wing. Played stand-out defense too.

After watching some of his recent games more carefully, I have been a little dissapointed by his defensive performance. I'm starting to think that his so-called elite defense may be somewhat deceiving.

There should be no doubt that he has the tools to be an amazing defender at either guard position. He is strong and athletic, he has quick hands and long arms. He has the full package to become one of the best backcourt defensive players in the NBA, and from time to time he looks just like that, coming out with impressive steals and defensive plays, but if you look more carefully you can see that his defensive fundamentals and his effort in that area, most of the times leave a lot to be desired.

There has been a bunch of times this year, including some clutch situations with the game on the line for Providence, where Dunn has been unable to keep his man in front of him and has conceded easy baskets, mainly due a to poor defensive stance, taking bad angles when containing penetration, and overall a lack of effort on defense.

He has the tools to be a great defensive player, but I think he has to vastly improve both his fundamentals and his attitude in that area to be considered even a positive defender. We should not only look at his steal numbers and label him as the next Gary Payton.

He's not a good defender. He's like Westbrook on defense. Physical abilities are there but he gambles too much and has too many defensive lapses.

It will all depend on how the lottery comes out. I could see Dunn going 3-7 or 8. I think he's elite talent in this draft though and IF there was a trade down out of the top 2 picks in this draft I think the team that trades out would end up w Dunn. Not saying that a team would pick Dunn in the top 2, just that some teams may like him in their top 2

Can't figure out which team id most want him on. I sure don't wish philly on him. Boston would be a clusterfunk for him for a few years. Lakers can't take him. Twolves could be interesting, everyone would assume an immediate Rubio trade but they might be able to make it work.

Denver logically wouldn't, but if he falls and the choice is something like Dunn or Murray/buddy they still need to go bpa. Sac kings could be an option.

Ok I figured it out. I want Jrue holiday traded to the Knicks. So I want Dunn t fall to no or for no to take him at 3. Dunn could be a good reason for the Pelicans to take a step back- tank and build w ad, Dunn, and come up big in the tank next year for 1 key piece. Dunn, just like Jrue would be a great 3rd guy. The problem for New Orleans is how do they ever get guy #2? I think them tanking makes as much sense or more than any team in the league tanking.

His numbers have regressed to his junior year. He was like a #8 pick last year so would view him very late lottery now.

I think Dunn is a great prospect, but I also think he's going to fall on draft night. If not, I see a team trading up for him. The issue is that there are so many point guards in the league and one that isn't a great shooter right now won't help a team trying to improve. The right fit for him is a young rebuilding team, but I think most young rebuilding teams have their point guards. I think the Nuggets are a possible destination for him, but I don't think they want him. The Nuggets want to get back to the playoffs as soon as possible with Gallinari and Dunn would only delay them. The trade I would like is the Bulls to trade Rose, Gibson and Dunleavy to the Kings for Dunn and Cauley-Stein. Just make it a full rebuild.

Because Sacramento wants to compete right now. If they want to, we have the pieces to trade. We can even probably trade Snell and our first this year. Hell, we could probably also give up Mirotic. Bulls have a lot of tradable pieces and Kings want to win right away. Bulls are one foot in a rebuild and one foot out. I just think its time to make a choice and do one or the other without somehow getting rid of Butler.

See how negotiations on that trade would work? Originally you wanted wcs and a Dunn pick for rose and Gibson. Then with a simple question you're willing to add mirotic and a 1st. Doesn't that mean you know you were peddling a 1 sided trade?

i just don't like more than one piece that a team wants to keep being involved in a trade. Wcs is not a throw in.

Rose is an interesting trade idea. I could see why teams should try for it. And I can see why a bulls fan would want value for taj Gibson. But those 2 for 2 too 10 prospects from the last 2 years?

Rose is still playing at star calibre, WSC is older and may not improve, Dunn is also older and has issues (he's also someone you need to be patient for), the Kings need a power forward next to Boogie. They took WSC to play next to Boogie, but they're both centers.

Last year was a deep draft, so wouldn't the 8th pick last year be a top 5 pick this year?

This draft is also weak up front, so he should be top 6.
