In the half court he will be simply asked to sit in the corner for a open 3 or occasionally cut to the rim. Its basically how PDX used a 19 year old Batum as a rookie. You keep it simple on offense for a few years, let him use his natural defensive gifts and go from there.

He reminds me of an old-school athletic wing like a Cedric Ceballos. He's smooth and he can do a bit of everything.

His movement does remind you some of Ceballos. I still think Bilal needs to gain about 15 pounds but he should with his. His shoulders are broa

I think his open court speed with the ball and explosiveness is Westbrook like. That's where he's special and gives shades of Pippen. He's just so young. He still has a lot of development within his cycle

After watching SL, this kid is a jump shot away from arguably being a top 5/10 wing in the NBA and he's only 18. The defense and feel for the game are already there, the stocks (steals and blocks), IQ...HR pick by my Wizards.

I stopped reading after "After watching SL"
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Don't know about top 5/10 but he's criminally underrated still regarding his upside. I think he has untapped shot creation talent that should be more obvious by next season.

he's a work in progress but seems like the kind of kid where once the game slows down in 2-3 years he'll shine. Wizards did good

How is he criminally underrated? He was the #7 pick.

I mean if he gets a jump shot combined with his defensive ability, am I shooting high here? I never said it will take him 2 years to get a jumpshot, it could take him his entire rookie contract. But if he gets there, then yes, that's his potential.

I can't believe at one time I thought we'd have a chance to draft him ha ha ha. He would have been perfect too.

He's shooting 43% from 3 lol. That's going to come down, but even if he shot 38%, that's still huge. It hasn't even been 10 games, but honestly, in a 2023 re-draft, he's going top 3. It's still Wemby 1, but you can make the argument Ausar and Bilal go 2 and 3 in some order.

Bilal Coulibaly

Post#174 » by EvanZ » Tue Nov 14, 2023 3:44 pm

People taking laps on a guy with 11 PER and -1.9 BPM getting minutes on the worst team in the NBA after 10 games…yeah sounds about right for RealGM lol

I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

-1.9 BPM is good for a teenager (it's better than Wemby). Taking laps is premature, but I thought he was a reach at 7 and the Wizards should be feeling pretty good about what they've seen so far. He's shown more than Walker and Hendricks in the early going, and at the very least looks like not a bust

With his length, skills, and age he is bust proof. Plus he’s already played in big games overseas. Not sure why more people didn’t see this coming. He’s already shown more than their pick from last year.
