Loved Reef's game back in the day. He could kill today.

It's a bit odd he has only 2 dunks up to this point.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Is it really though.

I think some of you are over hyping him. I am not sure what you are seeing.

His dunk count doesn’t make him any better or lesser of a prospect. His hype isn’t supposed to be based on flashy plays

Really not about flashy plays. It's more about someone with his tools being physical and dominating at this level of competition. I get that he's a perimeter-oriented bigger player. But 2 dunks at his size is noteworthy. Chet has 18. Don't want to bring up the "soft" label quite yet..but.

Soft isnt a lack of dunks lol

Watch his highlights that Clyde posted. He clearly plays with an edge. Moreso than most finesse guys IMO.

.383 FTr for a player who shoots a ton of jumpers doesn't suggest that he's avoiding contact. He plays on a team with terrible spacing, so the opportunities to dunk – given the roster composition and his role in it – are more rare, especially considering that he's not some great and powerful athlete to begin with.

I get the context yet Cambridge has 10 dunks playing for the same team. If it's not about being soft, then the alternative explanation to me becomes the athletic tools might be somewhat average or even below average.

not sure how anyone can watch Jabari and think soft, and he has a better ft attempt rate than both Chet/Paolo.

He also isn't a good shooter (even though he's played as a floor spacer) and more importantly, his FTr sucks. That to me suggests that they just have different roles, as Cambridge is more of an off-ball cutter from the corners whereas Jabari floats around more in the center and away from the basket where he has more gravity and nobody else on the team can fill in for him. But yeah, Smith also isn't a particularly explosive athlete, I'm not sure if that's contested.

Some touches of prime LaMarcus Aldridge there too, from my perspective.

Seems like a definitive top 3 player right now.

love this kid. Immense upside/ceiling and looks to have the type of fire/personality to improve. His floor is very high as well.

Not really, I feel like he was more skilled with the ball but not as good of a shooter.

I get some Aldridge vibes although he is more mobile and guard more positions.
