Marshon Brooks comparison...

Post#1 » by john2jer » Mon Jun 6, 2011 7:02 pm

I am by no means a Brooks expert, but the little bit I have read, I keep thinking Rashad McCants, but maybe not as insane. How close is that when considering potential, talent, physical attributes...?

i think some team is going to fall in love with brooks a way over reach for him... less athletic J.R Smith mostly cause of brooks' poor shot selection

Brooks seems more of the deliberate power through type even if he puts up bad shots. McCants was like 6'4 Eddie House, too hyped up in a bad way to stay on the court

Kevin Martin seems perfect. I have Brooks really high

A better Jamal Crawford, possible multiple All Star. How he is rated behind Burks and Klay is beyond me. To the person that said Morris Almond v 2.0, I've got one thing to say to you: Crack kills.

Best Case: Nick Young
Worst Case: Von Wafer
I'm leaning towards the 2nd one

a 2 guard that only contributes by shooting a lot and scoring, thats who he is, kevin martin/jamal/nick young or players similar to these are great comparisons

Larry Hughes meets Ricky Davis meets JR Smith.

Yup, THAT kind of player.

So does he still end up in the 2nd round like nearly everyone had him until three weeks ago?
If he goes mid first its going to look like one of those all hype no substance picks.

A longer Jordan Crawford is a better comp, imo - they even look alike.

I think a less athletic JR Smith is probably the best comparison. Maybe Jamal Crawford.

And for Klay and Burks?

Klay: Kevin Martin
Burks: Brandon Roy

His combine numbers say that he's a hell of an athlete. I never saw it in his play in college though. His jumper looks slow to me also.

If he lands on a bad team who gives him lots of PT, he might be able to do what Jordan Crawford did with the Wiz.
