Mitchell just had his best game ever in his 2nd so far for Arizona St., did nothing at Ohio St and is a 6'7 PF with limited length and shooting ability, but his passing and toughness could make him enticing to develop in the G-League maybe.

I think this is unfair to Mickey Mitchell. He will be way better than this. From now on I am calling Larry Bird "the first Mickey Mitchell".

Lol I can’t believe there was actually a thread about this guy. I remember seeing some YouTube mix of him and he had early puberty all-star written all over him. He was also one of those kids who was like 15-16 years old in 8th grade IIRC.

Would say though, if he sticks at ASU for 2 more years, develop a shot and looks a bit better physically, has pop but looks too big, he is the type of player that could have a career over seas without question, even a late stint at the NBA.

Not saying he is a prospect or anything, would be a 24yo Senior eventually, but hey you never know, might be interesting in his late 20s if he actually evolves.

I played pick up games with Mickey during my time at Ohio State University..

The dude has good vision and skill. However he just doesn't play hard, especially on the defensive end.

I like his 3-point shooting. He has exactly 1 (one) 3P made in last 2 years. So far this season he has one 3P attempt but we are still waiting for the first one made. I am sure once that happens, the Larry Bird story can start again. If he hits his next 3P, he would be 50% for the season.
