^ That summarizes the knock on Bennett's offensive game in a nutshell- he gets too trigger happy from three and thinks he's a "2 or 3".

I don't think he will be drafted in the top 5 but I'm pretty confident that at least a couple of those teams will regret passing on him especially in such a weak draft.

i don't think bennett has the all around game, especially the post and post passing game to draw any comparison with LJ or barkley. both those guys were more agile and better ball-handlers than bennett was as well.
bennett's more of a guy who finishes plays as opposed to a guy who creates plays. i also don't think bennett is nearly as good of a rebounder as those 2 were.

You do relize that max has a nice 15 foot j ?

this is maxiell's first yr that he's averaging more than one make a game from mid-range (he's making 1.1 a game) and he's only making them at a 37% clip. he's also a career 57% from the line.
improved shooter? somewhat. not enough to consider him having a nice jumper, which he's never had at any point of his career.

Bennett has a better handle than Maxiell and is more explosive imo. Not necessarily as a finisher, but attacking the basket.

That is exactly who NBADraft.net compares him too. I like, him, saw him in the Nike Hoop Summit and a high school game, he is very talented and explosive. Only worries for me are his height, but he might make up for it with his wingspan, which is way more important, and the fact that he is very injury prone.

Yeah, because college freshman players go 20-10 every single game they play, right? 28-10 on great efficiency is impressive for a player, regardless of who they're playing. Plus, when I wrote that, he was 5/5 in 10 minutes and had 16 points already. He was on pace for a 35-40 night.

I think he will end up being one of the best players of this draft.

I like Anthony Bennett, I like his passion and his skillset, I think he'll be a fine player, but I just can't get around the fact that he has been bothered by length all this year. If he was 6'10" with his length, I'd say he'd be the first pick, but being bothered by length is a big thing in my opinion. He'll obviously learn from it, of course, and grow better, but still, I think his size may be an issue, even if he's got the necessary length.

I'm guessing offensively a more athletic paul millsap?

His face up game and jumper is how I pulled that comparison outta my ass.

no. he started, but he was benched down the stretch of the game.

He couldn't guard Winston Shepard, so Rice kept him on the bench and played small, with Khem Birch manning the paint alone.

Oh, I saw an article that said Bennett was benched, but I guess I misinterpreted it.
