So, who will win rookie of the year?

Post#1 » by boogie-reke » Sat Jun 28, 2014 7:54 am

Now that we know who goes where, there's more basis for asking this question - granted FA period could change things, but by the looks of it now, who you would peg as the ROY candidates at this point, who's your winner, and what's gonna be their #s?

I think the most obvious choice here considering ability and situation would be Jabari Parker, seeing as he's likely gonna be the go-to guy on that team - I have him at 18 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 apg on 40% shooting.

If I was betting I'd put my money on Parker.

It almost always go to the PPG leader. To rack up points you need a 1. a scoring skill set and 2. a terrible team that is going to give you touches no matter what.

Parker's got to be the favorite by a pretty wide margin.

jabari is the most nba ready player in this draft, he is a scoring machine. I'd bet on him to win ROY.

I think that randle could compete with parker for that trophy. we know randle is a double double machine, and he will be getting starter minutes (I HOPE). so if there is anyone that could give parker a hard time on getting the trophy if would be randle

1. Randle - puts up 20/10
2. Marcus Smart
3. Wiggins

Parker will be too much of a defensive liability next year

Is your point that ROY voters care about defense, or that Milwaukee won't play him because they care about defense?

I think your wrong either way, just wondering what the logic is.

Parker, Randle or Noel

Those 3 are above everyone else, their team situations are great for them to produce.

Exum, Wiggins, McDermott, Napier, Hairston, Mirotic, McDaniels or Jerami Grant, Clarkson, and Pierre Jackson, will be productive in their teams too.

Parker by quite a bit.

No other rookie will be able to chuck their way to the ROY.

I think Parker in that Bucks team will get all the attention. Parker or Exum I guess.

Parker
Randle
Exum

Top three LA has no PF so I think Randle starts.

It will be either Jabari Parker or Nerlens Noel. If Parker scores 18 PPP he will win it. If Noel scores 13 ppg and Parker no more than 17, Noel will win it.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Hey, maybe he should have been on other team's radar? I watched some highlights of him before the draft and he looked like an incredible athlete which is at least worth a second round flier. Not saying he'll make an impact or not, but you never know.

Knight
?
Parker
?
Sanders

They should not start Mayo. Knight and Parker are going to be the primary scorers.

Parker will be ROY most likely.
