Big J - the ultimate attention whore. Why don't you post on the GB? I seriously miss posters like Fischella and others who actually had takes vs. straight trolls

Everybody liked Jalen Green. Like, everybody. C’mon man.

Now the people who labeled him a bust in January, you can go laugh at them.

I hope for their sake it had nothing to do with scouting.

I have had plenty of misses, you can't not have them but man some of his takes were just bad. I remember him arguing Schroeder was a better athlete than Ja.

Man, those last few Big J posts were something else, no? Jeez... if you do "X" against him, it's stalking, but if he does the same thing towards you, it's trash-talking. Then comes the passive/aggressive posts. Then the "told you so" ones. Come on, people here are not idiots, they don't have that short of a memory. They remember.

As for Green, I was not so high on him since the draft... obviously he's a very talented scorer, but I still want to see more from him in the other aspects of the game, like defense, rebounding, playmaking and so on.

He has improved as the season went on, but so did many other guys. I still have Cade, Barnes and Mobley ahead of him, career projection-wise. That's not a knock on Green, it's just how much I like those other 3 guys.

Where would folks have him going in a re-draft?

I can’t see higher than 4 (Cade/Mobley/Barnes) and think I could see as low as 7 (Giddey/Kuminga/Wagner).

I would have him pretty clearly ahead of that second group and in the same tier as Barnes

Cade/Mobley tier 1
Barnes/Green tier 2
Wagner Tier 3
Giddey/Kuminga Tier 4

EDIT: forgot about Suggs but he'd probably be tier 3

I think Houston and Detroit being terrible and getting high picks in a draft loaded with bigs is advantageous for them.

Green + Smith/Chet/Jabari seems better than Mobley + Ivey from a synergy standpoint

I think Mobley and Green will ultimately have the best careers but think the top 4 players went to the best fit for them. I think draft changes at 5 where Suggs drops a to 8-15 range

I'm still taking him 1. The rules are stacked in favor of guys who can shoot, score & draw fouls. Especially dudes who are ridiculous athletes like Green is. Game on the line I know he's shaking his man, rising over the top and getting whatever shot he wants. Cade/Barnes can be shut down in 1on1 situations so they are more at the mercy of their teammates making shots when they pass it off. Mobley is neutered on O due to being at the mercy of someone else getting him the ball.

I think that is more of a statement about Ivey and Mobley more than anything else when you think about it. They are both a bit limited right now on offense.

Yeah it worked out well for Detroit and Houston if they end up with a top pick this year to pair with either Cade or Green but hypothetically speaking had one of them taken Mobley, maybe if Shaedon Sharpe is legit that could be a really nice pairing as well.

100%, I have had really bad takes, they have gotten better with time but have had really bad ones. How do you misjudge athleticism though that badly is beyond me. It's not even really the game he is looking at in the scenario, and Ja is like a top percentile guy as well.

I think in very very rare situations can you afford to draft like that. Jabari wasn’t in serious top of the lotto discussions going into the season, you could’ve easily said, I’ll draft Mobley to pair with Hardy and look where he’s wound up.

i had Mobley and Cade #1 and #2 and that hasn't changed

then it was Green/Suggs in T2, then T2 was guys like Minda, Wagner, Barnes, Springer, Johnson, Moody.

don't think much changed for me, maybe Barnes to T2.

Speaking of Jalen Johnson...

11 games in the G-League
21/11/4 + 0,9 steals / 1,5 blocks
47/30/57 (yep, not looking good)

I think he turns into a rotation player for Atlanta next season, once they clean up their roster a bit.

Think the G League was a bit dysfunctional this year with all the extra call ups bc covid, no deadline for two ways or limit on number of days two way guys could be with the nba team so it's really hard to evaluate guys who were down there. For example Daishen Nix put up 22.5/7.6/6.2 with 2.3 steals while shooting 52.5 % on twos, 39.7% on 3s and 60% TS at 19 years old and I'm not sure he'll have an nba career. Really have no idea what to do with guys putting up numbers this year even more than usual, which makes looking at ignite guys very very hard in particular

He could be Zach Lavine, or JR Smith.. His on-court IQ isnt the best and he seems to go 100mph every play. How much of that is the Rockets just rolling out the ball.. who knows.. but scoring-wise he has the ability to just crush teams by himself

He's only averaging 2 TO's per game bro. That ain't bad.
