One part is size. Topic is reportedly 6'6" with a 7' wingspan (ie. could legitimately play at the 3), whereas Nunez is (reportedly) 6'3" (iw. a pretty typical NBA point). Another is Nunez is playing a smaller role for Ratiopharm (24 MPG), and is playing SG beside a veteran point (Klepeisz). Topic was primary creator for Mega and playing 30 mpg.

that's what he supposedly measured but I don't buy it. He looks 6'5" to me with a decent but not amazing wingspan of maybe 6'9". If he's truly 6'6" without shoes with a 7' wingspan it would make me look at him in a completely different light

An NBA exec told me that Topic’s wingspan was misreported. He is 6’6” barefoot with a 6’6” wingspan.

LOL a 24 year old from a small school that previously had a heart issue should go TOP FIVE? Why do you people say these things?

if he was a freshmen he probably would be unfortunately he had a very curious journey and is now 23 y/o. As for his BBIQ it's just about the worst you'll ever see. He's all over the place, turnover prone and is constantly doing too much. But man, the guy has unquestionable NBA wing size, talent and athleticism. He also has a high motor and plays defense too. I think his shot can be fixed and in the NBA he'll be a slasher and transition scorer with some ISO on switches so the BBIQ can be mitigated until it's coached out of him if that's even possible. I think when you get to the end of the 1st round and into the 2nd there are very few guys I'd rather take over him because most of those guys are also older but they don't have his physical gifts. He definitely has starter upside. I wonder who will take a chance on him.

He's worth taking a flyer on late 2nd round or UDFA, but he would have to become 3 and D. I'm not sure with how his game is, if he could handle that limiting of a role. Might be destined for China.

Sat down with a bunch of the Ignite guys recently to break down film. Big fan of Tyler Smith’s game. Easy plug and play forward.

What does he do well enough that will play as a rookie outside of shooting?

I understand Ignite were an absolute mess.

Wow, really cool to plug and play a guy who can't defend at all. That's super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Is there a way to see Ulrich Chomche play? All that is on YouTube is gighlights of him blocking smaller players, hitting unimpressive layups, and shooting midrange jumpers with pretty broken form.

He'll be at Nike Hoop Summit next month.

I could see a team taking him around 20 in this draft, the talent is pretty flat once you get to that point and you are basically weighing flawed young players or upperclassman who have the right skillset and bodies.

I think Jared McCain can really shoot it, but if that is all he does at 6-2 then why not take a chance on a 6-7 guy with high pedigree, size, athleticism and a really productive year. He was pretty easily the best player on the court in both games he played in tourney vs 4 and 5 seeds.

I am not saying he should go 20th necessarily, but for me that is the point in the draft where I really don't have a massive disagreement with guys 20-45 in the draft it's all preference and fit.

I don't see the appeal of Yves Missi at all unless he improves dramatically. Looks undersized, no clear offensive skills, projects more as a backup C at best. Just came off an elimination game line of 19 minutes, 2 pts , 4 rebounds. Maybe I just can't see the potential but that screams 2nd rounder.

He's raw. Late 1st 20-40 range. His potential to be more than just a drop big gives him some advantages

Good stuff.

I think he showed good awareness in the video, of who he is and what he'll need to become. Generally like him in the mid to late 1st.

I don't necessarily disagree, but yesterday he was playing with a back injury, thus limited minutes.

Missi's tools are not ridiculous or anything, but he's barely played basketball and can dribble so he's got sneaky offensive upside.

it's a shame sears is too small to play a major role in the league. he's a bulldog who is also really good at basketball. he'll score a crap ton of points in europe though.

Yeah I wouldn't take him in the first, but he reminds me a bit of Brunson with how he plays. Late 30s, early 40s is probably worth a swing, put him on a 2way deal and at the very worst he is a fun player on your Gleague/Summer League squad.
