Outsiders who do you think is the best fit for Charlotte if they get the #1 pick?

Shouldn't draft Knecht period. Grizz has a similar prospect at the same age in Europe right now.

Sarr probably makes sense as someone who can be a primary player for the Hornets. He's more offensively and defensively versatile than Williams, imo, and he's a better player in general. I'd take a hard look at Risacher, but I don't know if he's really dynamic enough to be a #1 pick. (I liked him when he was slated in the 6 - 8 range).

I don't like the fit of Topic next to Ball.

Yeah I was leaning Sarr as well. Castle is probably my 2nd choice, but I doubt they would take Castle #1 overall.

If you decide you want to trade Ball for some reason, then Topic makes sense, imo.

Who knows with CHA? I have no idea why that franchise does half the things it does. All I know is Williams isn't good enough to think they're set at center so Sarr should be an option. And they'll likely lose Bridges so a wing like Holland makes sense too. Castle would be an adult next to Ball and help hide him on defense and insurance if Ball gets injured again (which he will) so he too makes sense. Personally I'd trade Ball and build around Miller, the 2024 draft pick(s) and whatever they get from the Ball trade but that's just me. Maybe the Spurs would give them their lottery picks and a young guy like Vassell?

trading down would be my first option, if not i'd just go Alex Sarr and hope gets somewhere near his high end outcome.

Trading Ball makes sense if the deal is right.

He would kill it with Wemby for 20 games though. :D

I like Castle or Sheppard for them. Depends on what route you wanna take with the team.

I don't want no parts of Sheppard in the top 5.

Castle is a good fit with Melo/Miller. We could use his defense and he plays smart. I know the jumpshot is a question mark, but I would take a gamble if improves his shot.

I like Castle for them because it forces teams to make a decision if they have any small guards.

He is a Senior so I am not sure he had to declare with the extra Covid season and all.

I think he still has a year of eligibility.

The draft eligibility list should be available either today or tomorrow.

Draft Holland, Knecht or Reed. Trade for a center using Kennard and 25 1st and 27 1st.

FYI, Tristan is not using his super senior year. He's fully committed to the draft.

Got to break down film with Jamal Shead recently. One of the most impressive players I’ve gotten to speak with. Knows his strengths and weaknesses. Might not be his first stop but he’s definitely the kind of kid I’d bet on overcoming the height and shooting concerns.
