I don't view Castle as an NBA playoff rotation player at all unless he shoots 37%+ from three on very high volume.

That's a prereq whether or not he plays PG or SG.

No need for super high volume... even 36% on 4 3PA per game will do.

Are we expecting his defensive effort to translate ?
If yes that should be closer to 3-4 attempts.

Very high attempt should be only for pure 3 point specialist which he will never be.

I mean the selling point for Castle is his defense, if that doesn't translate he won't stay in the league for long so it won't matter much.

Can we just agree shooting percentage is pointless on small volume? Anthony Black shot 39% this year and is getting dnp in the playoffs despite all the plus stuff he brings.

I agree with Castle improving his shooting over time, but we are probably talking 2-3 years min before he is at least avg and teams actually respect him in a meaningful game. He is a lock for a top 10 pick in this class, probably should get looks at 5 but nobody should be taking a guy that might average 8 ppg for his first 3 years inside the top 3.

Castle was a scorer coming out of highschool.

If you put the ball in his hands and let him run the show then he might be a future all-star. But if you already have scorers then he could be a nice complimentary piece to a team.
