Yeah, I'm not an advocate of bringing in an experienced win-now player until we have a clearer idea of this team's identity going forward, and that's contingent on the development of our prospects. Our window is huge. Grab some prospects we like in this draft, develop them alongside our existing guys, see how things go. I understand that some people (some not even Spurs fans) are antsy to see Wemby on a winning team, but with his current trajectory it's a matter of when, not if.

Outside of Sam Presti's Scrooge McDuck-esque vault of draft capital, we're one of the most loaded teams in terms of picks and assets. No need to cash them in until we're certain.

Precisely my point. This past season was to see if Wemby was IT. We now know he is.

The coming season is to decide the following among existing players:
- Is Sochan the PF of the future, we know he can defend and rebound, now we need to determine if he can shoot. Avg 15+ points next year should be the aim with 35% on 3's with 3-5 per game.
- Vassell. Is the the no.2 or no.3. Can he lift his scoring and efficiency again next year. He also needs to become a better defender.
- Tre. Improve his 3 ball. Show that he is worth the MLE as a backup.

The ones above are the only ones I think who are guaranteed to be with the Spurs next year barring a major, major trade.

Now, with the Spurs having gaps at PG and SF, draft or trade for these spots. Need to make them more productive. I am OK with a Trae trade if it does not cost the Spurs all the Hawks picks and especially not if we have to send out Keldon with Collins to match salaries.

Correct, we need to pick one high upside project and one who will be a productive player right away.

Here is an updated list of who I would like to see us draft:

#4 Nikola Topic - Stephon Castle - Rob Dillingham - Zaccharie Risacher

#8 Dalton Knect - Reed Sheppard - Cody Williams - Ron Holland

If we trade, I think the players we should move are Zach Collins and Keldon Johnson

The only big trade I would be ok with is packaging both picks, both players for a committed Donovan Mitchell.

Lesser trades: Murray? Meh I like that more than Trae Young but I wouldn't give up more than Keldon and #8, I like Bogadonovich more than both of them.

not interested in Cade unless cheap like Keldon and #8. Will try to think of young PGs we can possibly make a move for.

Love the first post, I think Dalton and Vassell can be a good 2-3, haven't looked too much into Tidane, but quick glance says he has moved into lottery territory, wouldn't favor him above any of the guys I listed above but if they're unavailable Wemby's guy has good size and athleticism

I would accept it but I wouldn't be overjoyed.
