2023 Off-Season

Post#1 » by NYG » Sun Apr 9, 2023 6:02 am

I posted this in the T&T Board...

https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2280493

There are 10 teams that have been eliminated from the post-season already...
Wizards
Pacers
Magic
Hornets
Pistons
Mavericks
Jazz
Trail Blazers
Rockets
Spurs

Here are my general questions for those teams:

1. Is your team keeping your coach?
1A. If not, what replacement makes sense?

2. Who is definitely staying on your 2023-24 roster?

3. What are your team's biggest off-season needs?

4. Which draft targets make sense in your range?

5. Which free agent targets make sense with your spending capabilities?

6. Which trade targets make sense?

7. Who is most readily available from your team for trade?

8. Which free agent, if any, is most likely to leave?

1. Pop stayed for the tank, he is sticking around for a little while.

2. Johnson, Sochan, Vassell, Branham, Bassey, Wesley, Collins, Graham, McDermott

3. Wembanyama, Decent FA that fits our timeline. An NBA power forward or someone who can rebound.

4. Wembanyama (if we don't get #1 I would seriously try to trade out of the pick)

5. We can afford almost anyone if they wanted to come here. I'm not really interested in any of this years FAs though. Hold a gun to my head I would say Porzingis but he will eat our entire cap and only play 35 games..

6. If OKC somehow won the lottery I would ask what it would take to bring Holmgren here. Also if SGA wanted out I would ask what we might need for that to happen. If Detroit sits at #2 in the draft and are interested in Scoot Henderson, then either Ivey or Cunningham might be had.

7. Graham, McDermott (Maybe Johnson)

8. Dedmon, Dieng (If anyone makes an offer to them)
Not sure if Langford is a FA because of qualifying offer
Collins if we dont pick up his TO
