Threes blanket a LOT of issues, but only so many.

We've made a whopping 7-10 from the arc this Q and yet we're still down 10 after almost pulling even this Q, down only one 34-33.

Wemby's struggling to score with an unprecedented 0-6, some through early doubling, some through missed bunnies, but he's facilitating well leading us with 5 assists.

Branham leads the starters with 11 on 4-7, terrific 3-4 from 3.

Graham leads all Spurs with 12 on 4-7, 2-5 from 3.

Sidy and Blake have yet to score. Both too unselfish. Both only 0-1.

Julian shooting 50% (2-4 from 3) but game low -12 sounds about right. He does have 2 blocks, so there's that...

We got to the FT line 4-5 in the 1ST Q but only 0-1 in the 2ND. We need to get more attempts inside. And score better. We're only 44.2%FG which is 14% lower than our opponent. Same number of FGAs for both teams. Efficiency - there's the 10-point difference. We're down 30-20 PITP so yeah to reiterate, points inside, both makes for and against need to improve. To triple down on the point of making more of scoring chances, both teams have 8TOs but we're down 10-5 on scoring chances in them.

Let's... just score better, get Wemby better chances, distribute the shots better.

I'm not convinced that Julian intended the alley oop to Wemby. Looked more like a failed shot, though I concede I'm biased.

Julian got blown by on D, trotted back into no man land space, picked up nobody, leaving Wemby in the paint to cover multiple defenders and get scored on with Julian in prime position to watch it all unfold.

3RD Q: SPURS 86 PELICANS 86

We won this Q 35-25 on the strength of 3s and Julian fundamentals finishing at the rim, Graham throwing heaters and leading us with 15, Wemby now flirting with a triple double, and we now have SEVEN Spurs in double digit scoring with Blake and Sidy still scoreless. Such a weird game.

Goes to show how much effort and hustle can achieve.

We're still only 5-7FTsfor the game. Something to consider.

But we're 15-34 from 3 and we have 26 assists already to 13TOs.

Just protect the ball, share it, and make smart shots.
